"Sylvia? Sylvia, where are you?"
Sylvia raised her head from behind the pile of bags and called out. "Over here."
She was sorting out the chillies to prepare a particular blend that Selma had formulated years ago and was now everyone's favourite.
"What are you doing?"
She looked up to see a pair of familiar boots standing at a hand's distance from her.
"I am asking you something."
She pushed her gaze up to see Corbin's frowning face glowering down at her.
"I... am working. Can't you see?"
Corbin's nostrils flared, irritation was clear on his handsome face.
"Don't try to be over-smart. You are working with chillies without wearing the gloves when you have wounds on your hand."
Sylvia tensed hearing that. Her eyes darted around in search of help from Lina or Selma. Unfortunately, none of them were there in her defence.
Did Corbin choose that moment deliberately?
"I..."
"Get up."
