The year 2026
High Alert!
"I repeat, I repeat, some unknown object is falling from the sky! Immediately inform the military!"
A man in a police uniform shouted into his radio, eyes wide with urgency as he alerted the officials about a meteor falling from the sky. The meteor's trajectory seemed to target the city below, sparking fear.
under his fearful gaze in an instant, the meteor crashed into the city with a deafening roar. Buildings crumbled under the impact, their structures unable to withstand the force. The ground shook violently, and a massive shockwave rippled through the streets, shattering windows and sending debris flying in all directions.
Screams pierced the air as people ran for cover, their faces masks of terror. Mothers clutched their children tightly, trying to shield them from the falling rubble. Cars swerved and collided in the pandemonium, their drivers desperate to escape the destruction. The sky darkened with dust and smoke, adding to the confusion and horror.
Cries for help rang through the chaos. "Help us! Someone, please help!" A woman trapped under a collapsed beam her stomach torn apart reached out with a trembling hand, her voice barely audible. Nearby, a man tried to lift a concrete slab off his friend's leg, his efforts frantic and futile crying.
Firefighters and emergency responders rushed to the scene, their sirens wailing in a desperate chorus. They worked tirelessly, pulling survivors from the wreckage and administering first aid where they could. But the devastation was overwhelming, and the cries of the injured and dying filled the air, a haunting symphony of human suffering.
Amidst of this the thing which was responsible for destruction lay in the middle of a 100-meter carter blinking rapidly.
The man in the police uniform, still clutching his radio, looked in horror. The once-bustling city had been transformed into a nightmarish landscape of destruction and despair just because of something falling.
The year 2039
Thirteen years had passed since that fearful day. The world had continued to develop, with countries and cities advancing in technology and infrastructure. But as progress marched on, so did the complexities of crime. The military often found itself stretched thin, juggling both national defense and internal security.
In this era of rapid development and constant vigilance, governments held powerful weapons, capable of immense destruction, reserved for the gravest of threats. The military, respected and revered, stood as the unyielding wall between chaos and order. Soldiers risked their lives daily, their sacrifices allowing the people they protected to live in peace.
In a bustling laboratory, Dr. Emily Carter, a brilliant and passionate researcher, delved into the mysteries of the cosmos. Her work was her life, driven by an insatiable curiosity about the universe. One day, while studying the trajectory of an asteroid hurtling towards Earth, her life took an unexpected turn. She was exposed to a raw, powerful energy emanating from the celestial body. Unbeknownst to her, this encounter would not only change her life but also the life of her unborn child.
Months passed, and as Dr. Carter's pregnancy progressed, her colleagues noticed something extraordinary. The energy from the asteroid had left an indelible mark on both mother and child, granting them abilities beyond human comprehension.
At Mount Saint Hospital
A woman in her late thirties, with a beautiful but pained expression, lay on a stretcher. Her pregnant belly protruded beneath her hospital gown. Medical staff hurriedly pushed her towards the operating room as she cried out in agony. Beside her, a young boy, around eight years old with black eyes and hair, held her hand tightly, running alongside the stretcher.
"Mom, it's gonna be alright," he whispered, his voice trembling with worry. She nodded weakly, tears streaming down her face as the pain became unbearable. The doors to the operating room swung open, and she was wheeled inside, leaving the boy standing anxiously in the corridor.
Outside the hospital, a sudden lightning storm erupted, startling everyone inside. Rain poured down in torrents as a man, drenched to the skin, burst through the hospital doors. He wore a military uniform, the insignia on his shoulder indicating his rank as a colonel.
In the operating room, the woman lay unconscious, her face pale. The doctor held a newborn baby, worry etched into his features. The baby was not crying, which was unusual and concerning.
"Doctor, is something wrong with the child? Why isn't he crying?" a nurse asked, her voice filled with anxiety.
The doctor gently slapped the baby's back, trying to elicit a response. The baby opened his eyes, displaying an annoyed expression but remained silent. Two more slaps followed before the child finally let out a cry. Everyone in the room sighed in relief.
Later, the mother and child were moved to a VIP room. The man in the military uniform entered, his face softening as he approached the woman. He kissed her forehead gently before turning his attention to the sleeping baby cradled in her arms. A smile crept across his face.
"Colonel John," a voice called from the doorway. John turned to see his friend, Dr. Frenz, standing there, a serious expression on his face.
"What brings you here, Frenz? Is there something wrong?" John asked, his smile fading.
"Let's talk in my office. There's something you need to know," Frenz replied, his tone grave.
In Dr. Frenz's Office
Both men sat across from each other in silence. John broke the tension, his voice steady but filled with concern. "What do you need to talk about, Frenz? You sound serious."
Frenz took a deep breath before speaking. "It's about your child. His eyes... they're purple, which is extremely unusual. We've run tests, and it seems that whatever your wife was exposed to has caused a mutation. His eyesight is limited to about 25 meters. Can you tell me more about her work?"
"You know she's a government researcher, Frenz. Much of what she does is classified, even to me. But tell me, is there any harm to his body from this mutation?" John asked, his worry deepening.
"No, there's no immediate harm. But there's something else. We've noticed that he might be suffering from Alexithymia. It means he may have difficulty feeling or expressing emotions," Frenz explained.
John's eyes widened in surprise. "You mean he won't be able to show any emotion? There's nothing you can do about it?"
Frenz shook his head. "I'm afraid not. We don't have the technology to alter someone's emotional capacity. You'll have to observe as he grows to understand what he's truly feeling."
John stood, a mixture of sadness and determination on his face. "This is serious, Frenz. His eyes, his emotions... and there's nothing we can do. Let's meet again soon."
"Of course, John. Take care," Frenz replied, watching his friend leave.
John walked down the corridor, the weight of the revelation heavy on his shoulders. As he reached the VIP room, he looked at his wife and child, vowing silently to protect them no matter what challenges lay ahead.
