"We missed you Lina "she heard her friends in the company say.
She smiled hugging them, "I missed you too"
Avril stood aside watching them welcome her.
"How can they all warm up to her only after a few weeks" Tony muttered.
"Apart from being kind and jolly, she has her special way of making them like her" Richard walked in.
Avril ignored him glanced at Lina one more time then walked away.
Lina was busy for the next few hours as she caught up with her work.
"Lina you missed lunch so we got you some take away" her co-workers said handing her the food.
She smiled taking it, "Thanks guys, I was working on an empty stomach & I couldn't leave to eat"
Sitting back Lina opened her food and started eating.

Avril walked out of his last meeting with Richard and Tony.
"Make sure to send the report before the end of the day and Richard call the board and inform the..." he stopped and they all did.
Richard smiled noticing his line of sight, he was looking at Lina, who was trying to hide the fact that she was eating during office hours.
"She is different" he chuckled.
Avril pushed Richard away, "Keep your mouth shut" he said and walked off leaving them both.
"Ignore us and go to her, we are no longer important," Richard said after him.

Lina stretched finally done with her work, having stayed back to finish it, she found herself alone in the office.
Switching off the computer Lina grabbed her bag and got up heading to the elevator.
Yawning now she stepped out of the elevator and walked out of the building.
"You're done?" a voice stopped her
Lina looked up to see Avril standing out next to his car.
"Boss..." she exclaimed.
"Come here," he said. Lina got nearer holding a smile on her face.
"You waited" she muttered.
He nodded, "you appeared so busy I didn't bother you so I decided to wait here"
"Thank you for waiting" she smiled.

"It's been weeks since you had your attack, have you had another yet?" asked Rochard.
"No, I don't have any cravings"
"Seems our little angel is keeping you well fed"
"Since that day I have never fed on her or had any yearnings for blood," he said.
"Then I guess her blood is still a mystery, how has it been with you both?"
Avril sighed, "I can't say, she's been so busy with work and studies that I have no time to spend with her"

Richard laughed," You sound depressed, I thought having a girlfriend will change you buy our getting stressed now "
"Am worried about her, she hasn't rested for days and seems to be fine with it "Avril held his phone.
Richard smiled," I didn't see her today, what happened?
Avril remembered the conversation they had last night and frowned even more.
"Oh, I might not stay home for the next few days, I have some tests I need to do. So I will be staying at the hostel" said Lina.
"Can't you do it from home?" he asked.
"No, I won't be able to concentrate and I have night discussions with my friends, ds" she said.
Avril fell silent and Lina turned to him.
"Is that okay?" she asked.
"Mmm..." he answered not glancing back at her.
She had packed a few things and left with Tony the next day.
"Not even a hug or a goodbye text, she left just like that," he said coldly.
Richard scoffed getting up, "I guess I should leave you so you can drown in your sadness"
