"Are you avoiding me" Lina flinched looking behind her to see Avril standing next to her.
She moved back," Who said I was? ".
"Your actions," he said. Angry and worry written on his face Lina sighed moving closer to him but then Avril moved back.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"What you have been doing for the past three days" he answered.
Lina took two steps toward him and he moved back again, "I don't like it" she pouted.
"I know and I didn't like it either?" he said walking away.
Lina left alone felt her phone vibrate.
...
Harry watched Lina rush out of the building and head his way.
"Can you just give me a quick tour of this place, I might get to see him" he said.
Lina glared, "You rushed me out here for that or to pick me up?"
"Both" Harry laughed.
Lina ignored him and got on his motorbike, Harry passed her helmet.
"Did you get what I need?" she asked.
"Mmm, but I don't understand why your using them. Don't they interfere with your treatment?" he asked passing her a bag.
"No they don't, they just make me numb and that's all I need.. not to feel pain," she said.
"Your acting weird but I hope brother doesn't find out about this or he will kill us both" Harry started the bike.
"I will take it to my grave" she chuckled.
"Keep that promise" Harry smiled driving off.
...
"Let her be, I guess she finally realized she didn't like you" Richard tapped his friend's shoulder.
They had been on the balcony watching Lina leave with her brother.
"She's hiding something and I know it concerns that useless brother of hers" he muttered.
"You both haven't gone that far or her to be so attached to you and your relationship might have overwhelmed her after all she's dating an old vampire that now seems to only crave her blood" said Richard.
Avril walked away with Richard following.
"It was her who didn't want to know and since she's with vampire hunters they might have told her something which changed her mind about us"
Richard chuckled seeing Avril sullen, "It's your fault to have fallen for her, now she has lost interest and you still appear to like her"
"She hasn't it's something else," he said.
"Keep telling yourself but think about it, your relationship with her wasn't that serious and it hasn't been that long for her to leave you. It's you who said she has been avoiding you, did you do something to her?"
Avril opened the door to his office but suddenly stopped.
"What, what did you do?" he heard Richard ask.
"I kissed her, but I might have gone too far," he said.
"WHAT?, Avril I thought you could control yourself. So it means you forced her?"
Avril glared, "I would never and it wasn't serious but maybe I scared her and she didn't want to tell me"
"You're a full-grown man with the wisdom of centuries and you can't still figure out how to treat a woman?" Richard sighed.
"I don't?" he blinked.
Richard stared back at the troubled cold eyes and cursed. He knew it was going to be a long evening.
