Harry's birthday had come and gone. Being nine years old didn't really feel any different. Having memories of a centuries-old being would do that to a person. It was his first time, however, of getting to spend his birthday with his godfather and Remus. For his birthday gift Sirius decided that it would be a good idea to go on a vacation. He said that the Blacks had a private island somewhere in the Caribbean. Harry had never gone to a beach before which Sirius was appalled by and silently cursed the Dursleys. His godfather practically demanded that they go to the beach. And so with Sirius, Remus, some of the elves, and Midas, Harry teleported all of them to the island after getting the coordinates from Sirius.
It was a fun-filled day for Harry and he even got a tan! Remus gave him a book called 'A Beginner's Guide to Alchemy by Anabelle Vitaelus'. Harry appreciated it as he has been meaning to start on the topic. Maybe he could create something useful. The elves, as with their way, cooked a veritable feast Caribbean style with lots of seafood and spicy cuisines. Harry found that he quite liked spicy food. Sirius gave him a beautiful silver watch encrusted with small rare green amethysts that complemented his eyes. Midas surprisingly also gave him a golden tail feather. He thanked his phoenix companion profusely.
It was a day filled with laughter and just temporarily leaving their worries behind. There was only the sun, the sparkling blue waters and sand, and most of all the company of those they care about.

With a loud bang like the sound of a car exhaust two figures suddenly appeared in the middle of a London.
"Ugh. That was horrible. You're horrible." Harry looked a bit green. Sirius waved off the insult and snickered.
"You'll get used to it."
"I'd rather teleport. I really hate all forms of wizarding travel." Shaking his head the black-haired boy stared at the door in front of them. It was ornate and black with a large door knocker shaped like the head of a snake.
It was the Black Townhouse in London, 12 Grimmauld Place.
"Are you really sure about this? Couldn't we just go to the bookstore or something?" Sirius knew he couldn't change the boy's mind but he had to try.
"Yes, Sirius. Now open the door already." The little Potter excitedly urged his resigned godfather. With that said the godfather in question reluctantly approached the door and placed his hand on the door knob. Knowing already what to expect he didn't flinch when there was a sharp pain and the door creaked ominously open.
Stepping inside the duo jumped when the door slammed shut behind them. Turning to each other briefly both of them produced their wands and conjured light, illuminating the peeling paperwalls, grimy floorboards and to the side just to the door, a huge troll leg used as a coat stand. Harry, though was impressed for a different reason. Outside the Black ancestral home wasn't much to look at but the inside was huge. Liberal use of space expansion magic made the house at least five times as large as the outside.
"Wow, you lived here? This is worse than the Dursleys."
"You have no idea." Sirius mumbled.
Walking further in Harry cast a bubble head charm on the both of them as dust literally covered everywhere. This house needed a thorough Scourgifying.
Turning at the next corner suddenly a flap opened.
"WHO DARES TRESPASS IN THE HOUSE OF THE NOBLE AND ANCIENT BLACKS?! MUDBLOODS AND BLOOD TRAITORS! DIRTY STAINS IN THE NAME OF MAGIC! YOU DARE BESMIRCH THESE HALLOWED HALLS?! SHOW YOURSELVES! KREACHER?! KREACHER WHERE ARE YOU? THROW THESE FILTHY MONGRELS OUT!!" A painting of a deranged-looking witch started screeching at them and throwing out insults left and right. Dressed in a frumpy and voluminous dress, the woman looked like she belonged in a mental facility. Honestly, Harry was impressed at the amount of vitriol the woman was spewing. She must have been a delight when she was still among the living. Riled up Sirius started a shouting match with her.
After a few more moments of this, Harry had had enough and closed the curtains with but a thought, completely cutting off the woman's diatribe. He raising his brows at his panting godfather.
"That was…something. She was your late mother I take it?"
"Yeah. I hate her even now." Harry smiled at his godfather sympathetically. He knew about hateful relatives after all.
Crack!
"Master Black has returned?" An elf suddenly appeared and bowed so low his nose touched the ground. The elf was very old and had leathery skin and wore a dirty pillow case. "Of course, filthy master is the shame of the Blacks. Yes, he is. Filthy master should have remained in prison and left poor Kreacher in peace with Mistress. Oh, how the Black ancestors weep at the disgrace filthy master brings. He even brought a filthy little half-blood with him. Oh, poor Mistress will not like it. No, she will not." The house elf either thought they didn't hear his mumblings or he just didn't care.
"Shut it! Kreacher, you will not insult me or Harry. Do you understand?" Sirius angrily shouted at the house elf.
"Kreacher will obey." The elf bowed even lower if that was possible. "Filthy master consorting with halfbloods and blood traitors. Oh, how the Blacks have fallen." The recalcitrant elf continued in a softer tone but still filled with loathing.
"Kreacher! Go back to your quarters!"
With one last insult the elf was gone with another loud crack. Harry narrowed his eyes in thought.
"Let's just get what we need so we can go back." Harry nodded his head and produced a simple leather bag with extension charms cast on it.
With Sirius leading the way they soon halted in front of a blank bit of wall. Lifting his wand the dog-man tapped it at specific points and tucked his wand back in his holster. A door magically revealed itself and Sirius opened it.
The Black Family Library. It was probably the largest collection of priceless ancient tomes and books dedicated to the Dark Arts in Britain. It was boasted shelves upon shelves of books and Harry was suitably giddy. He started scanning everything that caught his interests and put it in his bag. Of course, he will have to return it afterwards. Sirius on the other hand sat on a chase and waited for his godson to take his books.
It was just over an hour that Harry was satisfied with his new acquisitions. Going over to Sirius the poor man was fast asleep. Talking with his mother's portrait and dealing with Kreacher must have brought back bad memories. Shaking him gently the older man roused.
"Are you all done?" Sirius yawned a bit.
"Yeah. I got everything here. Thanks again for bringing me here Sirius. I think next time I can go in alone. I can defend myself if needed and you know magical wards can't stop me."
"Alright! If you're sure, pup. Better you than me." Sirius didn't need a lot of convincing.
"Also Sirius there's one more thing. Can you call that elf back here? I want to ask him some questions. Please?" Harry pleaded to his reluctant godfather but the man finally relented. Calling the house elf's name there was a loud crack and the elf bowed.
"Master called?"
"Kreacher! As you lord I command you to answer all of Harry's question truthfully and without omitting anything." He demanded. The elf gritted his jaw but nodded in agreement.
"Kreacher, what can you tell me about Regulus Black?"
And so the house elf was forced to tell the story of Sirius's dead younger brother, Regulus. Harry already knew this of course as he viewed Kreacher's memories earlier. He needed the elf to tell them for Sirius's peace of mind.
Regulus Arcturus Black had been a Death Eater, one of Voldemorts followers. One time, Voldemort asked Regulus to lend him his elf. As a show of loyalty he commanded Kreacher to follow the Darl Lord's orders and return back to him when done. Kreacher dutifully obeyed. When the elf came back almost at death's door Regulus was distraught. He diligently nursed the elf back to health and ordered him to tell him what happened. That's when Regulus knew that the Dark Lord made a horcrux, a soul container. Regulus ordered Kreacher to bring him to the cave where Voldemort kept the horcrux despite the elf's protests. The vile soul receptacle was in the form of the fabled Slytherin's locket and was submerged under a potion. Regulus ordered Kreacher to force feed him the green potion and bring the locket back with him to destroy it. It was the last order Regulus gave and the cave became his final resting place.
After the long and arduous tale, Sirius was crying. He was crying for his brother who sacrificed himself in the end. All in the hope of making Voldemort mortal again. He was a true hero.
On the table in front of them was Slytherin's locket. A priceless piece of history but now reduced to a horcrux. It had an intricate engraving of an 'S' on it shaped like a twisting snake and encrusted with shining green emeralds. It was a clunky thing.
"I have destroyed one of these before. A horcrux. It was in the form of black diary. Lucius Malfoy kept it in his study."
"What?! You mean there are more of these? How many do you think he made? No wonder he was a lunatic." Sirius was shocked. Making one of these was bad enough but multiple?
"I know what you mean. From what I learned from that piece of soul in the diary, Voldemort's real name was Tom Marvolo Riddle. He was the son of a muggle and a squib." He told his audience wryly. Sirius choked on his spit.
"Voldemort?! So he's a half-blood?" Harry nodded.
"Anyway, we have to destroy this. I know just the way. Will you come with us, Kreacher?" He asked the distraught house elf. Kreacher flung himself at Harry feet and clung to him.
"If Harry Potter promises to destroy vile locket Kreacher will forever be in Harry Potter's debt."
"Very well. Stand up, please. You too, Sirius. We'll need a lot of space for this."
Harry pictured the place his had in mind and with absolute concentration he teleported all of them and the locket in the middle of the ocean.

All three of them were floating high just below the clouds. Shining merrily above them the sun bore down its harsh rays. Clouds floated lazily above and the deep blue ocean waters were calm down below. It was beautiful up here, Sirius thought. Not for long.
Without warning Harry flew up even higher leaving elf and his Master. Harry waved his hand and the locket shot forward dozens of feet before suddenly stopping in mid air.
Sirius saw Harry transform into Mewtwo and braced himself as he had a foreboding feeling for what was about to happen. Sensing an attack the locket suddenly snapped open and a cloud of dark mist burst from it, red eyes shining with malice and hatred for all living things could be seen at the centre. The black mist tried to attack his mind when he looked at the blood-colored eyes and put him under its dark magic. Mewtwo only scoffed and didn't even bother fighting back, confident that whatever magic the fractured being had wouldn't affect him. It was only a small fraction of a soul after all. What can it even do? Control his mind to put on the locket?
The pink creature didn't bother pulling the consciousness of the soul piece into his dreamscape like he did with the diary but just straight up ransacked it for any information it had. He wasn't gentle with it either as the full brunt of his terrifying psychic powers effortlessly beat the evil mist back into its container leaving it weak and vulnerable.
Suddenly a terrible force bore down on the world! Like the sky was trying to crush everything under it into paste. Waving his hand Mewtwo enveloped his godfather and Kreacher in a bubble of protection and the both of them sighed in relief as the force lessened but still felt the oppressive power. Their bit of reprieve was short-lived, however.
Soon the skies darkened. Angry and black clouds covered the skies for miles blocking the sun. The winds howled like a storm was fast upon them. The clouds rumbled and the seas churned as far as the eye could see. Quite frankly, both of them were getting terrified. It was like the world was ending.
With a gesture of Mewtwo's hand the skies cried in anguish. Heavy rain obscured their vision and water spouts reached high up in the sky like the tendrils of monster. Baleful winds buffeted their shield and even stray lightning struck it. Sirius was afraid that their protection wouldn't hold up, but it did. At this point both Master and elf were clinging to each other in sheer terror. So much power in one tiny body able to conjure storms with but a gesture. They thought it couldn't get any worse but they were wrong.
'Thunder'
Raising his hands, Mewtwo commanded the skies the rain down hell on earth. Despite the rain he could see the yellow beams of lightning. They were so wide and their loud roars drowned out everything. Sirius and Kreacher had never seen and felt such terror in their lives. The scene before them was nothing short of apocalyptic.
The soul piece must have felt what was going to happen to it and struggled once more for its continued existence, but it was all for naught. Mewtwo's telekinetic hold remained it firmly in place. Mewtwo finally decided that it was time. With a snap of his fingers he Thunder blasts directed all their fury with deadly accuracy on the locket. Several maybe dozens of loud roars drowned out an anguished wail. Its soul container caught in a veritable storm couldn't help but turn into slag. Mewtwo kept holding the now liquified metal in a sphere of glowing red until he was sure the soul piece was utterly destroyed.
Hearing the thundering sounds were gone Sirius and Kreacher uncurled from their cowering position inside the protective sphere. Looking up they saw Mewtwo blew out a gust of frosty air at what seemed like a small red hot orb quickly cooling it down.
'Icy wind'
The red liquid quickly solidified into a small ball of silver and grasped it into his hand. He flew down and with another gesture the protective bubble popped like a balloon surprising its occupants. Mewtwo floated towards them and the three looked at the silver metal orb. Harry transformed back and handed the piece of metal, unrecognisable from its original shape, to Kreacher who accepted it reverently.
"Here you can have this. Your duty to Regulus Black is now fulfilled." The house elf could only numbly nod.
"Is…is it gone, then?"
"Yeah. I think that went well don't you think?"Mewtwo smugly looked at them completely ignoring the distressed look of his godfather.
"What do I think?! Harry! Merlin, I bloody well thought it was the end of the world, that's what I think! Ple…please don't do that again." He will have nightmares tonight he was sure of it. And his godson had the nerve to look sheepish.
"Sorry. Let's go back?" Without waiting anymore the trio left.
Later that day the muggles reported a freak storm that appeared and disappeared suddenly in the middle of nowhere that left them scratching their heads.
