Chapter 34 - Zeus Challenged Xander

Some minutes later he was seen fully dressed in his blue blazers.

"Master," The same maid Eve yelled out earlier greeted with her head bowed.

"Yes, how may I help you?" Xander inquired. He gently adjusted the gold wristwatch around his wrist as he waited for Celine's response.

"Breakfast is served," She informed meekly.

"I will skip breakfast. Inform the others," He said and moved towards the entrance. Xander paused after taking less than six steps from his previous position.

"One more thing Celine," He muttered and swerved so that his gaze was on Celine's face.

"Pass this message to Stacy and the other maids," Xander started and it was at this moment that Roman and Zeus descended the stairs.

Zeus glared at the two tall handsome guys who were also wearing suits.

"Inform them that I want them to arrange a room for their Madam. I want it done before I return," Xander instructed.

"And why on Earth would she need a room when you and she are both married?" Zeus interfered to the irritation of Xander. Anyways he never really liked them from the beginning and that made matters worse.

"Who said you could butt in when I am talking?" Xander snapped while glaring at Zeus and Roman.

"I should be asking you that. Who the hell are you that I can't talk while you are speaking?... Are you the president of the country, my father or my employer?" Zeus retorted. He also disliked Xander so that meant that their feelings were mutual.

"You..."

"A scumbag like you is in no way better than me so how dare you try to belittle me because I said some harmless words?" Zeus cut him short despite Roman's attempt to stop him.

"Hey, that is enough. Let's go," Roman said. He held Zeus' hand and tried to drag him along but the stubborn guy refused to budge.

"She gave you her everything, always remember that you are the one who shoved it back at her face and I promise you that you will come to regret it one day," Zeus declared, his index finger pointed at Xander's face.

"Let go of me. I can walk just fine," Zeus berated. He shoved Roman's hand aside and stomped towards the entrance.

"Was that idiot talking to me?" Xander shouted while gesturing at the entrance Zeus and Roman walked out of not long ago.

"I doubt that Sir," Celine replied as she secretly hid her sweaty hands behind her back.

"Just wait, very soon I will throw him and his stupid friend into the streets. Let's see how someone like him will dare to come close to me not to mention challenging me to my face," Xander grumbled.

He strolled away before Celine could utter another word.

"I had thought that things would return to how they were after Young Miss came back but why does it look as if things had gotten worse instead?" Celine mumbled, her attention glued on the direction Xander went.

After they went out, Giavanna left the room that made her not only feel sick in the stomach but also uncomfortable.

She was in the sitting room playing with her cell phone when Stacy entered the room accompanied by Celine.

"Miss Giavanna, knowing that you can't eat heated-up food, I asked the chef to prepare a new set of breakfast for you," Stacy started in a soft tone.

"And right now, breakfast is served. Please let's head to the dining so that the food won't get cold," Stacy concluded, her hands folded behind her back.

"I know you went through so much hassle to prepare the food but unfortunately I don't have an appetite," Giavanna replied without taking her eyes off her cellphone screen.

"One more thing, Stacy," Giavanna mentioned. She lifted her gaze and peered at where the two young women stood.

"Distribute the food among the others. I bet some of them hadn't eaten breakfast yet," She instructed and returned her attention to the cell phone in her hand.

"Miss Giavanna, you haven't drank a drop of water. All you do is either lock yourself up in the room or play with your cell phone ever since you returned. How could you possibly tell me that you are not hungry after starving yourself?" Stacy demanded seriously but she didn't dare to speak to Giavanna in a disrespectful tone.

"When I said I am fine, I meant it so will you stop nagging me? Believe me, I will be the one to seek you or the other maids when I am hungry," Giavanna berated. Her once tender eyeballs had long turned cold following Stacy's statement.

"But..."

"Stacy!" Giavanna called out fiercely and uncrossed her long sexy legs.

"Although I have been away for a year I am certain you haven't forgotten what normally happens when I lose my temper right?" Giavanna questioned. Her words sounded more like a threat than a suggestion.

Stacy refused to leave the sitting room despite what Giavanna said.

"Stacy, you really want to see me lose it right?... Will you be able to handle the consequences?" Giavanna asked a bit coldly the time around.

"Getting mad has always been bad for your health. The late Madam warned us countless times never to do anything that will upset you. You don't have to get mad. Stacy and I will do as you have ordered, Young Miss," The second maid replied.

She grabbed Stacy's hand and pulled the reluctant lady along with her.
