"Um. It's…it's…" she stammered, but still, no sad movie title came to mind to save her from the uncomfortable situation.
Robert's heart throbbed, feeling that she was pregnant and didn't want to say it, which was why she refused to respond to him on WeChat.
"Giselle, we were friends before working colleagues. You can tell me anything," he said softly, but Giselle smiled sadly as she suddenly recalled the title of a sad movie she had watched before.
"I just checked the title. It's Tears of the Sun."
"But there is no noise from the TV," Robert pointed out. Giselle stiffened and she couldn't help but wonder his reason for suddenly becoming so pushy.
"Because I muted it before answering your call," she quickly created an excuse. Robert was eager to confirm his suspicion and was not ready to give up.
"Then unmute it."
Giselle was suddenly uncomfortable with Robert's demand, asking, "How will I hear you and why are you calling?"
