Chapter 2 - A new school

Roxanne POV

The sound of my alarm clock interrupted my beauty sleep I hit the alarm clock and it stopped. I stood up immediately to start my morning routine but I immediately felt the butterflies in my tummy as soon as I remembered it's first day in college. I reluctantly stood up and went to the bathroom brushed my teeth and took my bath I went to my closet I didn't want something to pretty I was looking for a perfect yet simple outfit .

I finally picked a short white off the shoulder jumpsuit and sneakers I braided my hair into a twin braid my hair was really long , Dad says I got it from mom. I decided not to add any make up so I just used a chapstick matching with my lips.

I went out to the living room and so no signs of Dad I saw a note on the table

I sat down to have breakfast, Pancakes and maple syrup with strawberries and orange juice hmmmn I took the money when I was done and went out the house after locking up i walked a while before hailing a taxi.

At exactly Forty five minutes the car stopped and I came down after paying I stared at the gigantic school Infront of me. Havana college

then I walked in I could feel everyone staring at me then a middle aged woman walked up to me.

"Miss Quinn we've been expecting you"She said

"Me "I said

Of course who else Roxy she's standing Infront of you and you're asking a stupid questions.

"Yes or aren't you Miss Quinn"She said

"I am "I said

"I'm Mrs Donaldson the Dean come with me"She said leading the way and I followed her.

She gave me my schedule and some advice.

"I'm here if you need me"She said and I smiled bluntly and left the office.

I was having history first what terrible way to start the day I sighed and walked to class.

I opened the door nervously but luckily no one noticed me walking in, they were surrounding someone which I couldn't see. Curse my short height!.

Though I couldn't see the person I could hear the sound of the guitar it was so melodious and his voice was like angels coming down from heaven

"🎵What the heck is called love🎵"He ended the song

"OMG Nick your voice still sound so good"A female student said . They all left the way and I could see him , he was so cute my mouth hanged open but I immediately shut it his hair was in a slick undercut and was wearing a white over sized shirt and baggy jeans and sneakers each fingers in his hand were filled with rings but he didn't pierce his ear.

Third person POV

Nick smiled and got down from the table he gave the female student that complimented him a peck.

"There it is the bad character he's a play boy"Roxy said to her self she hit her leg on a table.

"Ow"She exclaimed silently.

Nick attention diverted to her.

"Who the hell is this chick"He said coming towards her but he was interrupted.

"Nick "A guy said walking in and they shook hands.

"Zachary "Nick said

"The party still on tomorrow night"He said

"The party is never off"He said

"Nick are we invited"A girl said

"Everyone but party suckers are invited"He said and they laugh.

Two guys walked into the class the first guy cleared his throat everyone looked at him .

"Please can you all take your seat"he said

"Who the f**k is this guy"Nick said and Zachary chuckled

"The guy who can expel you if you don't behave"He said Zachary looked at Nick and they both took their sit.

"Xavion you can go on"The man said and left the class

Roxy went to the empty seat at the back.

"welcome back to school every one"He said

"I'm Xavion Hawkins "He said

All of them began to whisper while but Roxy didn't do any thing she just opened a note

"And yes the same one you know I'll be your substitute in history till your teacher get well"He said

"Yo! dude your just 21 last I checked what do you know about history"Zachary said

"I know just enough history that you need to know what I'm wondering now is how to get it into your thick skull"He Said everyone including Roxy laughed while Zachary kept mute.

"Now let me get to know you all"Xavion said

Roxy POV

I beginning to like this school it looks like it's gonna be a fun year, every one stood up and started to say their name. it got to my turn so I stood up.

"My name is Roxanne Quinn from country Q I'm black and just moved to country K"I said and took my sit .

"Ok let's get down to business "The substitute said he was good looking wearing a white shirt and black trousers his hair was black and was slick to the back

I guess history isn't going to be that boring after all.

After class I packed my books and wanted to leave but some one obstructed I looked up to see the guy from earlier.

"So you're black uhn"he said holding my face looking at me I shrugged removing my face from his hand.

"Hey yo! Zachary this one's tough"He said

"K's got to see her"He said

"We'll take her to K"he said

Who the f**k is K and where are they taking me to .

"Stand up don't make this look hard"Zachary said

"I'm not going anywhere with you"I said.

"Hey chick just do as he says "Nick said

"There's no way I'm doing that" I Said

"She's really tough"Nick said he held me by the arm really tight.

"Stop that you're hurting me"I said in pain.

"Now get up and come with me"He said I stood up.

Xavion's POV

Dad's got to be f**king kidding me just because of the useless argument about the company he's making me a substitute . I walked out of the class I noticed I didn't take my phone so I went back , I saw those bullies Zach and Nick bullying the black girl, I hate them.

"Hey what are you doing " I said .

They quickly left her and walked out of the class.

she sat down looking at her arm her eyes was teary .

"Hey are you okay"I said moving close to her she sniffed took her bag and walked out of the class.

She didn't even say thank you that's what you get when you help Chicks. ²
