CHAPTER 20

PAUL LEAKS had already made everything right, he would escape in front of the whole world...

Many see, but few see...

He knew it would be an Arsene Lupin way out.

And absolutely no one would know where to go, however, having the right people by your side was the most amazing thing when you had knowledge and contacts.

The party was happening upstairs, everyone had already seen him and even better, had seen him in the company of the Prime Minister, and there was a protocol that no one could leave a party before the main guest, in this case, Noah Hughes.

The driver was far away in the kitchen, talking to some employees, getting some free food. As Scotland Yard was guarding the embassy from the outside, Noah dismissed some of his personal security officers inside the embassy, as it was the responsibility of the Colombian government.

The way was clear...

Leaks opened the trunk of the Prime Minister's Jaguar car and got inside and waited for the grand finalle.

A short time later, the driver started and they left the embassy without any obstacles, he just had to make sure that he got off at the right place and they would be waiting for him.

Soon the Valas would be complete again and they could meet with Albion...

The car entered the Thames Tide tunnel, which had a small traffic accident temporarily preventing the flow from proceeding, and as agreed, the lights went out and also managed to cause a temporary electrical failure in the cars' lights, they were in total darkness., the trunk opened quickly, and in a matter of less than ten seconds, they had already entered the manhole.

AGENTS TURNED ON their flashlights and surrounded Noah Hughes's car, but the lights came back on automatically in the tunnel a few seconds later.

— Are you all right, Prime Minister?

— Of course... but what happened?

— I think we were hit by some electromagnetic wave, which caused a temporary failure in our vehicles.

— Can you tell me if it's a complicated thing to fix?

— Nothing for you to worry about.

Agents did a quick search around, and found nothing suspicious.

— I think it would be safer if we continued our journey, Agent Nolan…

— Yes sir.

THE PARTY HAD ENDED at the Colombian embassy with extreme success and all the media was still euphoric with the supposed surrender of Paul Leaks, it was one of the most successful cases of the fight for freedom in the modern era and it would all end there.

NOAH HUGHES ARRIVED at his house, sat on his couch, just wanted to watch the arrest of Paul Leaks and his resounding victory, he knew that forcing colombia with some trade restrictions would work, if anyone questioned it would just be a commercial issue, of the law of supply and demand, had offered more economical values, and as the policy on which his administration was based was precisely to cut expenses, everything would fit together perfectly.

But minutes and hours passed and there was no news of Leaks' arrest, until his phone rang at seven in the morning.

It was Ambassador Muñeda.

'I hope I have good news, Mr Ambassador.

He listened intently and couldn't believe what he was hearing.
