CHAPTER 23

The SPECIAL BOAT SERVICE, known worldwide as SBS, was strategically positioned in front of the Colombian embassy, just waiting for the green light to enter.

Like any elite troops in the world, they did not discuss orders, the arrest of Paul Leaks, former MI6 secret agent, who had leaked confidential information, had been expected for years, and for years the embassy had postponed his arrest.

— Alpha 1, we're waiting for the signal.

— Positive, Bravo 2, we are waiting for the signal—

Operation commander Charlene Midleton knew better than anyone the implications of that invasion of the sovereignty of the Colombian country, a series of deaths was about to happen and only one man could stop that madness.

The SBS IS A UNIT of the Armed Forces , belonging to the United Kingdom Navy . Consists of a British Special Force , together with the Army 's Special Air Service , the Special Reconnaissance Regiment and the Special Forces Support Group that belongs to the three forces: Navy, Air Force and Army.

To integrate it, its members are selected from the Royal Marines and trained by the 22 SAS .

The SBS had its origins during World War II, in various units that carried out attacks, sabotage and reconnaissance of small boats, canoes and submarines. These included, the Royal Navy's Spear Patrol Detachment, the Special Boats Section of the Army and Combined Operations Practice Groups .

After the war these units were disbanded, however their various functions, along with many of their personnel, were absorbed into the Royal Marine's Combined Beach and Boat Operations Section (COBBS), formed in 1947. This was initially commanded by the Royal Marines. Major Herbert — Blondie — Hasler, who led the "Cockleshell Heroes".

COBBS formed a new Special Boat Section the following year. It then underwent several name changes, including Special Boat Company in 1951 and Special Boat Squadron in 1974 before becoming Special Boat Service in 1987.

Today, SBS recruits share the same exhaustive selection process as the Special Air Service (SAS), and develop similar skills. However, they acquire additional specializations in underwater reconnaissance and demolition, canoeing and diving.

MAJOR MIDLETON received the approval of her superior and gave the signal to enter, but the embassy was completely empty, in a few minutes they had already searched everything.

It's impossible... we've been watching this place twenty — four hours a day for years, and he could have escaped...

It was then that it happened in the blink of an eye.
