"What happened?" Shawn asked while entering bed with others. Kiro was standing on bed, he pointed at corner of the wall.
"A demon spider." Kiro shouted.
Luna laughed. She went near Kiro and said,
"It's not demon spider. It's a regular spider. Eight eyed spiders are 3ft, 5ft and 6 ft huge. Well, there are small eight eyed spiders of 8 inches but they follow mother spider only."
"Mother spider?" Black questioned.
"Um yeah... Mother spider's are more powerful and ferocious than normal eight eyed spiders. She attacks her prey and feeds to her small baby spiders." Luna said while looking at Kiro. "You should be careful. Mother spider loves handsome man like you kiro." Luna added.
Kiro's face changed colours. He hold to Black's shoulder,
"Black, you are my dear friend. You will save me from the mother spider right? If I die, you would never get such a handsome friend like me!" Kiro fake cried.
"I will throw you to her." Black stated. He was jealous of Kiro, as Luna called Kiro handsome man. He hit his friend on head.
"What that was for? Why did you hit such innocent scared kid?" Kiro asked with puppy eyes.
"Nothing."
"Hufff!!! Bad person. Always bullying me." Kiro cried.
"You are such a dramatic guy!" Ashley laughed.
Kiro gave charming smile. Kiro loved to make people happy. He would always crack jokes or act like stupid so he can make others laugh. He felt proud. But he didn't knew that Ashley's husband Kyle was glaring at him. How dare he make his Ashley laugh? Humph!!
Ashley noticed his jealousy and rubbed his back. Kyle soon calmed at her touch. They all went in living room and sat on sofa.
"Are you guys hungry?" Luna asked.
"Yeah. Very much." Shawn answered.
Luna went to kitchen. Everyone was waiting for Chef Luna to cook delicious food for them. She was planning to make something which will help them to increase their power level later when they will get power. She decided to cook roasted sweet potato, parsnips and beet to help increase their abilities in future. And something delicious to eat to fill their hungry stomachs.
Firstly she washed all the vegetables required. Then she chopped beets and sweet potatoes into small strips. Then she sliced parsnips and cut into moon shapes further. She thinly sliced red onion and mashed the clove of garlic. A oven was laying lifelessly on the kitchen counter. Luna plugged it in and kept it for pre heating. She took a plate and spread the mixed ingredients evenly. She added two drops of olive oil and salt as per taste. She put it for baking.
On other side, Luna took a pressure cooker out from her space. She kept it on stove and turned it on. Then she added oil and let it heat for 2 mins. After letting it heat, she added cinnamon, cloves, green cardamoms, peppercorn, star anise and onions, carrot. She sauteed till it become golden brown in colour.
She took out the roasted sweet potatoes, parsnips and beets out of oven. She added ginger-garlic paste in cooker and stirred till the raw smell was gone. After that she added vegetables and mixed it well. While doing that, she rinsed the rice with water 2-3 times. She took strainer and drained water from rice.
She added the rice in cooker, with that she added water, coriander leaves, peas, chillies, 3 different types of spices, salt to taste and mixed well. Luna covered the pressure cooker and let it cook on medium flame. After 2 whistles, she took out the pulao rice and served it with roasted sweet potato, parsnips and beets.
"Guys!!! Come eat. Replenish your energy." Luna shouted in low voice.
Everyone were waiting for her to say this, they immediately sat on dining chairs. 'we gonna eat delicious food again' 'This is best thing tonight' Everyone thought. Luna herself sat in between black and Kyle. Black's mood lightened up. He was happy both for food and for Luna being seated beside him. In this 3 months, he fell in love with Luna. At first, he was deeply attracted to her which has never happened before with any woman. He had to struggle lot to get to his position and for that he had to avoid wasting time on dating. He himself never felt need to date someone. But Luna was different. She tore his cold mask around her. She made him feel emotions just like her parents did. He always wanted to know more about her, to be with her, protect her and treat her like queen.
He smiled at her.
"Wait! You smiled?" Kiro shouted in disbelief.
"Let me tell you all, My friend is such a jerk. He rarely smiles. He mostly smiles in a cold way that literally gives me chills. Of course it's needed in business world and mafia world. But when he is with me, he rarely smiles and mostly taunts me. But now he actually smiled in sweet way. Unbelievable!! How is that possible in 20 heavens?" I think the shadow possessed him!! Hello!! Black!! Black... Listen to my voice. You need to fight back with the thing that possessed you. I, Kiro, your friend will help you. Come out!! Ayy ghost!! Shadow whatever!! Leave my friend alone. I know kung fu!!" Kiro was blabbering.
Black glared at Kiro.
"Finally!! Finally you are back!! I was scared that the ghost consumed your brain. I am happy my friend. I appreciate you to fight the ghost." Kiro continued with his theory.
Everyone started laughing. Black glanced at Luna laughing. He smiled at her and took his first bite.
"Delicious." He muttered under his breath.
"Thank you." Luna smiled at him.
Black froze at his spot. His heart beat increasing rapidly. He tried to calm his racing heart. He continued eating while looking down.
"Ahh!! So delicious! Miss. Alien you are amazing!! So very tasty!! You are angel. Please accept me as your disciple" Kiro said while feeling delighted for eating delicious food.
"I don't accept lousy disciples. If you want to be, you need to fight creatures and also you need to be handsome." Luna joked.
"Ayy girl!! I am handsome. I am epitome of perfection."
"Um nah!! Black is epitome of perfection." Luna stated while staring at Black.
Black looked at her. His eyes were sparkling but he didn't showed it. He was very happy with Luna's answer. He felt glares at his direction. Kyle, Shawn and Kiro were glaring at him. He looked at them and smiled coldly. He gave 'wanna mess with me? I can make you regret.'look. They three accepted their defeat. Luna was eating unaware of the impact her word's had on them.
"Make sure that you eat this, roasted sweet potato, parsnips and beets. It will help you to be in root chakra stage." She said.
"Root what? What's that?" Ashley asked.
"If you remember, I said that we will get abilities. And I also explained that creatures evolves in different creatures. This happens when they reach certain stage. They cultivate meaning grow their energy to different stages. Similarly we have that stages too, once we reach certain stages our abilities increase. In two days, we all will get apocalyptic survival powers, some might be at beginner stage and some might get power in either first two chakras. You will understand it better when you get power. Right now, you just need to know that this food will help to grow your abilities in future." Luna explained.
"HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS?" Kiro asked.
"You will know at right time. Right now think me as oracle." She winked at Kiro.
