I shivered. I looked at black, his both hands were grabbing my arms. His eyes held so much concern for me. I came back to my senses. Those memories are crystal clear in my mind. I took deep breath and looked around my surrounding.
"We need to get out of here soon." I took car from space. Everyone followed me silently and sat in car. My head was throbbing terribly. The demon serpent is very cruel. I need to make myself strongest or else I won't be able to survive against him. Big bro was driving the car this time. I glanced outside window for signs of the demon serpent.
'I don't understand how the heck this demon serpent appeared at the beginning of apocalypse. I remember correctly that the demon serpent was last one to arrive. He is at top of the food chain, very strong and very cruel. If he is here then, it will be dangerous. We don't even have apocalyptic powers, he can trample us easily. We need to do something. I need to do something. Right now, we can't cross paths." I thought. I grabbed my head and started massaging it.
Black noticed it and stopped me. He took his other hand and rubbed in circles. I wanted to refute but he gave me 'I am not going to stop even if you beg' look. I shut my eyes and the memories started flooding again.

Flashback ~
Before fainting , I saw a figure running towards me.
"LUNAAAA!!" He screamed and ran towards me. I tried keeping my eyes open but the darkness surrounded me. It was too painful for me to come out of it. Sleep feels heaven. I want to sleep and never woke up. I felt less pain.
I woke up due to commotion outside. There were two people fighting over something. I tried opening my eyes but they were heavy. My mouth had sour bloody taste that was making my stomach churn. I opened my eyes with great pain. Everything was blurry. The figures were blurry.
"Luna!! Honey!! Luna finally woke up!!" A familiar female voice squealed in happiness. She held my hand and gently rubbed it. I blacked out again.
After few hours~
I woke up from a bad dream. I looked around me, I was in some tent like structure. Where am I? What happened? The questions swirled around my mind. With great difficulty, I got out of the makeshift bed.
"Luna!"
I looked at the direction of voice. I saw Ashley coming inside. She looked pale but as soon as she saw me, her face lit up. I was confused.
"Are you feeling good? Why are you standing?" She asked in concern.
"Um.. H.. how? Where am I?" I asked.
"In forest but you are with our temporary group."
"Group?"
"Forget that. You need to rest. Your health is deteriorating. If you want to stay alive, you need proper rest and food. Here, eat this."
She handed me plate full of chopped fruits. My stomach growled. I need to feed my stomach since I was starving for few days. I took plate from Ashley. I looked away from her. I broke my relations with Big bro, Brother Shawn and Ashley a year ago. I felt awkward silence between us. I started eating fruits.
"Where are those liars?" Ashley asked.
I glared at her direction. She was used to me glaring at her. She shrugged.
"They got sep.. separated fr..from me." I lied.
"Separated? Or left behind?" She snickered.
I looked at her.
"Why are you being so cruel, Ashley?" I asked in rage.
"Cruel? Me? Why are you not understanding Luna? Why do you still believe them? You were just a toy for them? They threw you out after they got hold of Everson empire. Atleast now open your eyes and see their true nature. They are liars, b*stards. They just us-"
"ENOUGH. Stop it Ashley. I am tired of listening this shit. I know there must be some misunderstanding or else they would never leave me behind. They adopted me. They always loved me, took care of me. There must be some misunderstanding. I am sure of it. Once I clear it, they will take me back with them. We will be small happy family protecting each other." I mumbled in tears.
"Ugh!! How much have they brainwashed you to believe this shit? Forget this. Since now you are here, come with us."
"No. I want to search them."
"Come with us. We are heading to City Y's base camp. Smith's are going there too. We met them before. Instead of going alone, we will take you there." Big bro announced while coming inside the tent. I stared at him.
"Big- I mean thanks uh Kyle for saving me and um.. taking care of me. But I don't want to burden you all."
"You are not a burden." He left.
I laid on bed thinking about everything. I need to protect them. The demon serpent will kill my family. What should I do? How should I protect them? I am so weak. Atleast I should alert them.
After a week~
I was with my brother and best friend. They took me in their team and we would fight creatures along the way. I was weakest in them yet big bro would always save me. I didn't saw my friend since I became my brother's teammate. I wondered where is he? Or he got killed. I looked at the shadow infront of me. I took out the gun and shot at it. It immediately melted into shadow. There was smoke everywhere as soon as he melted. I glanced around my sides, no sign of it.
There was cold breath on my shoulder. I turned behind and shot directly at it's head. The shadow collapsed and disintegrated. Big bro, Ashley and Brother Shawn killed other creatures.
"Are you okay?" Big bro asked me.
"Um... Yes."
"Good. Let's continue."
We started walking straight. It's very difficult to have cars since the creatures break car whenever they get chance. We walked for an hour. It was getting dark and gloomy. A shriek echoed around us. Shadows...
A huge group of shadows came infront of us. We started fighting shadows. I got exhausted quickly. I sat down to take breath. When I heard the same movement of demon serpent.
Hissssssss
The shadows started fighting aggressively. I got up and ran towards the shadows. I kicked it and shot him at head. My power was exhausting again. I stopped for a while, I saw big bro running towards me. His face was beyond panicked. He was scared. I turned behind abruptly. A huge demon wolf was glaring at me. He raised his claw and slashed across my body. Or so I thought..... I opened my eyes. My bi... Big bro wa..was injured.
"BI..BIG BR.. BRO", I cried.
I dropped near him, crying loudly. Ashley sat beside me swiftly. Her eyes watching Big bro. He looked at me and smiled.
"I love you my sis"
I froze. My brother was dead. He died because of me, while saving me. I looked at him. His eyes were closed and he was laying there dead. I wanted to hug him. I wanted to tell him that I love him too. But now I...I can't. I can't do it. I didn't knew what to do. I let the grief engulfed me.
Brother Shawn came forward and carried big bro's body.
"We will give him proper burial." He said looking at Ashley.
Ashley was pale and sullen. She sat there staring at his body. Then, she got up when brother Shawn talked.
"As.. Ashley." I called her.
She looked at me with piercing gaze. Her gaze held no emotions, her face was cold. She turned and went towards brother Shawn.
"Come." Brother Shawn spoke while looking at me. His eyes held sadness, the warmth was lost. His eyes always held warmth whenever I talked to him. But today his eyes filled with hurt, sadness.
Without thinking twice, I ran towards forest. I was guilty. It was my fault. He died while saving me. It's because of me, he died because of me. I couldn't stop thinking about this. I counting running aimlessly.
After running for a while, my legs started aching like hell. I stopped.
Hissssssss
"How are you lowly hisss human being? Did you like my surprise? Sssss" The demon serpent asked. He appeared infront of me.
"Su.. surprise?" I was sobbing hardly. My eyes were swollen.
"Yeah. I killed sss.... your brother. I was hissssssss.... planning to kill all but then I thought how about killing them one by one hisss....and mentally torturing you?"
"Yo..You killed him?" I asked while looking at him.
"Yeah. Hissss... I made them kill your br... brother. Sssss.... I can manipulate other creatures. I manipulated hissssss the wolf to kill y... Your brother." He laughed.
"WHY?"
"Hissssss.... Is ra..rat angry??" He wrapped his body around me and started strangling me. He continued speaking,
"Now my hisss... next target is your old best friend.... Black... He is threat to me. I see he was your best friend but you broke your friendship with him. Ssss...."
"A threat?"
"Yes... He had breakthrough heart chakra and is now in throat chakra. He has 5% chance of winning against me. Hisssss..... He is only one chakra lesser than me. Ssssss... I can't risk 5%. I will kill him through you." He hissed and strangled harshly.
Snap
Two bones broke. I was breathing haphazardly struggling to break free from his clutches. But he was way too STRONG for me.
"And here my prey comes hisss." He looked at east direction.
What does he mean?
He left me there. I was struggling to stay on feet. I heard leaves rustling. Is there creature nearby? It will be better if the creature kills me instead of the demon serpent torturing me. I looked towards the direction. To my disappointment, black came out of bushes.
"Luna" He shouted while coming towards me.
"N..no..d.. don't co.. come."
I blacked out.
