Chapter 32 - Boss of Dungeon

As they rested outside the Boss's lair, an overwhelming aura emanated from within, permeating the air with the powerful presence of the Overlord Warg.

Its fierce growls echoed through the surroundings, reaching even their position hundreds of meters away. The sound sent shivers down their spines, a chilling reminder of the formidable adversary they were about to face.

As the two-hour rest period began, the group settled down, seeking solace and recuperation. Ji-Hye found herself seated beside the lifeless form of her dear friend Yuna, her eyes still brimming with tears.

The weight of the tragedy hung heavy upon the raiders, their faces etched with a solemnity that mirrored the profound impact of their fallen comrades' absence. In the silence, grief intertwined with determination, a shared understanding that their resolve would not waver in the face of adversity.

Hyun-Soo blamed himself for Yuna's sacrifice, believing that she had stepped in harm's way to save him.

Amidst the poignant atmosphere, the leader's voice pierced the silence, infusing the air with renewed determination.

"Let us not falter now," he declared, his gaze scanning the weary faces of his comrades.

"We still have to kill the boss" the leader continued.

Walking up to Hyun-Soo and Ji-Hye, he offered words of comfort. "Yuna's sacrifice showed us the importance of protecting the porters no matter what. Let's honor her by facing the Overlord Warg and finishing this mission strong."

Kang Min-seo then joined Hee-Joon who was busy with his bag, he was organizing the empty potion bottles and preparing for the final raid.

"Sir, isn't the Mining team and Excavation team supposed to be here, clearing the loot and retrieving the bodies of the monsters?" Hee-Joon asked, his curiosity evident in his voice continuing in his work.

The leader paused for a moment, considering the question, before responding, "Have you noticed any mana crystals so far?" as he took a note of the lair.

"No, not yet." Hee-Joon shook his head.

The leader continued, "Mostly, the crystals will be found in the boss's lair. That's why nobody went out to inform the mining team to come and collect them.

"As for the Wargs, once the raid is completed, the excavation team will arrive to collect the Wargs' bodies. Their meat is highly nutritious and sought after by hunters."

"Isn't the excavation team supposed to come before we head to Boss's lair?" confused Hee-Joon asked "That's what we were thought in the training school though.

"Yes, you are right about that." Leader Kang Min-seo continued, " Typically, the excavation team would come to clear the bodies. However, in this case, the number of Wargs here is relatively small, around 15-20."

"So once the raid is completed, they will directly collect the boss and these Wargs, instead of making two separate trips." the leader concluded his answer.

"I understand now," Hee-Joon replied, taking a sip of the potion to replenish his energy.

As they sat there for two hours, the team rested and regained their strength. Completing their break, the leader, Kang Min-Seo, picked up the shield that he had set aside. With determination in his voice, he shouted to his team, "Everyone, get ready! We are moving towards the boss's lair for the final raid!"

"Get in formation" shouted the leader.

Upon hearing his words, the team members swiftly gathered their weapons and prepared themselves for the impending battle. They formed a tight formation as they advanced toward the boss's lair.

Kang Min-Seo took the lead, his shield held firmly in front of him. Behind him was Park Min-Seo, ready to provide support and strike when necessary.

The remaining twelve members were split into groups of four. The first group surrounded and protected the mages who were positioned in the middle of the formation.

They ensured that the mages could unleash their powerful spells without interruption. The next group followed closely, guarding the healer and the two porters who carried valuable supplies.

With their formation intact, they walked with purpose and determination toward the depths of the dungeon, ready to face the final challenge that awaited them.

As they entered the lair of the Overlord Warg, a scene of horror unfolded before their eyes. The air was heavy with the scent of blood, and the lair was illuminated by the radiant glow of crystals, casting an eerie light. The Overlord boss was seated in a regal position, devouring the flesh of its kind, the fallen Wargs which he had hunted.

"Everyone, prepare for battle!" the leader shouted, his grip on his shield tightening. He then let out a mighty roar, hoping to draw the boss's attention towards him.

"Roarrrrrrrrrr" Shouted the leader as he tried to aggro the boss.

The Overlord Warg glanced up from its gruesome feast, its eyes locking onto the raiding party. A low growl escaped its jaws, its hunger for a fight evident.

The Overlord Warg dropped the flesh it was devouring and rose to its feet. It was an imposing sight, far larger than the Wargs they had encountered before. The Overlord stood at least four times the size of its lesser kin, with a majestic coat of blue and white fur.

Its teeth glistened with saliva as it eyed the raiding party, its deep blue eyes locked onto them. Its fangs were massive, resembling the size of a human hand.

As the Overlord Warg shifted its weight, it began circling the area, studying the raiders with an unsettling intelligence.

Its actions indicated that it was assessing the strength of the party before deciding how to engage them. Wargs were known for their cunning and strategic thinking, and this Overlord seemed no different.

The raiders stood their ground, keeping a watchful eye on the massive creature. They knew that this battle would require not only strength and skill but also careful planning and coordination.

The tension in the air grew as the raiders prepared themselves mentally and physically for the upcoming clash with the cunning and formidable Overlord Warg.

As the Warg ceased its circling, it let out a menacing growl, asserting its dominance and making its presence felt.

" Growllll, Roaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!" let out a burst of cry.
