Chapter 2 - A glimpse into the past

Yawn

Another day of monotonous work!

Stifling another yawn I started on my task of getting ready for my classes by preparing for the morning ahead. A light breakfast before getting changed and finishing with my hygiene I was ready.

Walking downstairs I was greeted by my mother who had just woken up.

"Morning Noir, going to college already."

"Yeah I need to print off some documents and my homework and doing it at college is faster and cheaper."

"All right, Try to have a good day"

"I'll try"

Omnipotence

Walking out of his terraced house a teen of 18 years put some headphones on before walking towards the coach stop 15 minutes away from his home.

He was slightly chubby but underneath the thin layer of fat was a man of average looks. His dark brown hair that grew wildly obscured most of his face from view however if seen his Green/Blue eyes that carried vast knowledge brought an ethereal look to his face.

As he walked he immersed himself in his music not minding what was going on around him. Waiting to cross roads was instinctual after following the same route every day for a year and a half meaning no accidents were likely to happen.

Finally appearing at his coach stop he read a few of his favourite web novels that released a new chapter before the coach arrived.

After leaving the coach he moved towards the science department before scanning his lanyard on a nearby printer, A list of documents appearing before his eyes before he selected a few and waited for the process to complete.

In his eyes everything was mundane and dull. By the time he was in his teens the colour started to drain from the world as the monotony of his life began to seep into his brain. Everyone around him was viewed his as a set of benefits and drawbacks that they could use causing him to try and distance himself from them.

Letting out a small sigh he felt the emptiness he couldn't remove. Neither happy nor sad. Angry nor worried, he just existed neither worrying about consequences or the pains that they could bring to those around him. Hidden under his cracked mask was something ominous that wanted to be let out like a beast although even the young man didn't know of this fact thinking it was only his sick sense of humour that made his thoughts so skewed.

The sound of the printer finishing brought him out of his thoughts as he collected the papers filled with complex mathematical equations and formulas for advanced compounds and polymers using alcohol bases.

Turning to the door opposite the printer he opened it to be greeted by a set of girls sitting at the front row. God was truly a bastard as he was the only male who sat on the row of 5. They would question him about mundane things like his star sign and who was the best looking other things that he had little clue about due to his antisocial behaviour as a child. He could tell they were teasing him since he was the only male on the table but he didn't really react and continued listening to music until his class started.

Before the start of the disaster ahead!
