Aylin stirred and her eyes moved beneath her lids. Slowly, her consciousness began to resurface, pulling her out of the depths of her slumber. Her eyelashes fluttered as she gradually became aware of her surroundings.
She blinked, her vision adjusting to the dimness of the room. The sound of rain has not subsided, but it now formed a gentle patter against the windowpane, creating a soothing melody. Aylin's gaze shifted around the room, taking in the familiar objects and the soft glow of the moon filtering through the curtains.
As Aylin sat up in bed, she felt a sense of calmness washing over her. The events leading up to her collapse rushed into her mind clearly; going to the pond with Rhea, playing with the water, asking Rhea some questions, and the pain in her head before blacking out. Though it felt like she was missing something.
