"Turn again, and again. Yes, that's the perfect angle. Yes. Yes." The room echoed with the voice of the photographer. Mia was grinning from ear to ear; this was her dream. She had always wanted to be here, always wanted to do this. It all felt surreal as if she were observing herself from a distance. Being on a stage like this, with flashes of light, had been a lost dream. Standing there, the center of attention, was more than she could ask for.
"Perfect. Very good. Nice. You were made for this, Mia."
She smiled, showing off her white teeth. The more the photographer praised her, the more confident she became. She continued smiling and searching for people's reactions. For some reason, their thoughts about her performance seemed very important to her. They filmed a few more shots before she was finally allowed to take a break.
