"Mia…" She yawned, and tired opening her eyes wider. "… You are here?"
Mia pulled her in for a hug, "Of course, I am here. How are you holding up? How's Chris?" She asked nodding to the guy who slept peacefully on the bed.
"He is getting better." She turned to see Alexis standing a bit far away from the friends. "You are also here, Alexis. Thanks for coming."
Alexis nodded; she wasn't close to Sheila or Chris and wouldn't wasn't to invade their privacy.
Mia let her eyes roam over her friend body; she looked thinner and her eyes bagged were big – she hadn't been sleeping. She dropped the bag of food she had bought on the way, "I thought you might not be eating well and need this."
Sheila picked the bag, and engulfed Mia in another hug. "Thanks friend. It had been tiresome, but I am glad he is getting better. I think they would be able to remove the cancer completely."
Mia smiled, "That's good news. I am glad for you and Chris."
