Restless, Mia paced Sheila's kitchen, displaying all sorts of food on the table. Sheila barely glanced at them. Mia pulled her duvet over her body and switched off the light in her room. Somehow, Sheila reminded Mia of when she had caught Jack cheating on her.
"You don't want to get sick, Sheila."
Sheila only shrugged and ignored her. The night passed that way, and the next morning, Sheila acted like nothing had happened the previous day. Mia was confused by her sudden change of attitude and tried to question her, but Sheila shrugged it off with a smile. "I'll be fine. Don't you have to be at the agency? Today is the debut of your advertisement. Don't you need to go celebrate that?"
Amidst taking care of Declan and rushing over to Sheila's, Mia had temporarily forgotten about what was supposed to be one of the biggest days of her life. Without wasting time, she said goodbye to Sheila, promising to call her soon.
