"What were you even thinking? that such ordinary fires are sufficient to keep me here? Isamu I never believed you were an idiot, but your behavior surprised me. What were your thoughts? Are normal flames frightening to a great evil? You're an idiot! At least you are no longer living. Good riddance."
Isamu's cold, dead body just lay there as blood flowed out of the right side of his chest, where his heart had been before it was stabbed through. Belial just stared at Isamu's dead body as he felt uneasy and looked around before feeling a sharp pain as he woke up to reality and found himself being stabbed through the liver as It was Isamu who put Belial, the seven great evils of the mortal realm, in an illusion. Isamu would just smile and look at Belial, who would look at him annoyed as he sliced downwards towards Isamu, who would barely dodge as Belial would slice through reality itself. Isamu would be sweating profusely after one hit from Belial, and it's all over. He just chuckled as he then sliced at Belial,
who would easily dodge it and slice at Isamu again, who would then block it with a wall of flames. He just chuckled as the blade started glowing as ancient runic symbols started to glow blue on the blade. As Isamu would recall some memories of his past interactions, the memory showed the servant whose head he cut off.
"My Lord, are you sure you don't want to do this?"
"Of course I don't! You are one of my closest friends in the entire kingdom. Why would I want to take your life for a stupid power-up? We aren't even sure that we could kill Belial with these enchantments. He's one of the seven great evils of the mortal realm! He's basically the strongest thing there is in the mortal realm unless God sends Michael to get rid of this evil There's no hope for us to kill him!"
"My Lord, please trust in me. This will work. I have studied these enchantments, and I can die happily as my great-great granddaughter, Shirai Kenjou, has been born healthy thanks to you. This is the least I can do for you, Lord Isamu."
Isamu would fall silent as the servant would explain to him the plan, and Isamu would chuckle and laugh.
"Hahahaha! You old dog! You can sure as hell learn new tricks, huh? Very well. I guess it's time for you to die anyway. I mean, you could be my damn grandpa; that's how old you are. But anyway, I shall make sure that your family is safe from this demon and all harm, and especially your great-great-great granddaughter, Iris."
"Thank you, my lord. I really appreciate the reassurance from you."
The servant smiled and thanked Isamu, as the servant would sigh as he looked at Isamu as he spoke.
"My Lord, please remember me when I'm gone, and I'll be extremely happy if my service to you will save the kingdom and my great-great-great granddaughter."
"Your name will go down in history, my friend. You will be known as Kenjou Yakeru, the one who burned the devil himself."
Isamu smiled as Yakeru would smile back and nod as he brought the weapons to Isamu and let him inspect them as he told him the core details about the blades.
"These blades are made from cursed
Seals who were created by the Lord of the Dead himself, Anubis."
Isamu would blink twice as he looked at him and spoke.
"Yakeru, do you really think that Anubis stands a chance against one of the seven great evils of the mortal realm?"
"My lord, you shouldn't underestimate the Lord of the Dead; he is by far one of the stronger gods in the Cosmos; he's well respected even among the main eight gods of the Cosmos."
Isamu would sigh and just nod, agreeing with him. He knows how powerful Anubis is; his power is not to be taken lightly at all, but even he wasn't sure if the power of the Lord of the Dead was enough to stop this threat.
"My Lord, we have to put faith in this; there is no other way God won't help us since we have sinned and we don't have contact with any other God's as there people would kill us. The only outsider they tolerate is Ezekiel, as he's the Man of God."
They would both just sigh as Yakeru looked at Isamu and started speaking again.
"But anyway, I'm going to continue the details of the curse of the weapons. The blades are known as khopesh. The curse of the blades allows you to seal away evil and even kill immortal beings that are weaker than Anubis himself in power, and it also boosts your power by a significant margin. I say your fighting skills are 10/10 on a scale, but with the curse that's laid upon the blades, it boosts your power and fighting skills and grants you the ability to use those blades as easily as breathing, and you would break the scale with the power of the blades. But coming to the curse part, whoever wields the blade that is not Anubis has to sacrifice their life span for the power, and the ones who get killed by the blades are sent to Duat to be erased."
Isamu would look at him and be confused as he spoke up.
"And what does that have to do to lead to me cutting your head, Yakeru?"
"Yes, I am getting to that part, my lord. To activate the curse, you need my blood. Why my blood specifically? And why can't you just cut my finger a little? It's due to the curse laid upon me by Anubis himself. When I departed, he told me these words: "
Yakeru cleared his throat and spoke in a husky voice.
"You who shall ask shall bear the burden of the curse. To activate the powers of a god, you shall sacrifice a soul; no other soul shall suffice other than yours, mortal."
He cleared his throat again as he spoke in a normal voice again.
"I asked him why it was my soul only and not some criminal. He just answered in a husky voice."
Yakeru cleared his throat again as he spoke in a husky voice again.
"Ye who ask shall suffer the curse. To achieve the power of God as a mortal, you shall sacrifice your soul to pay the blood price for the power."
Yakeru cleared his throat again as he spoke again, but this time in a normal voice.
"If I had said one more word in that tone, I would have lost my voice before I lost my life due to those blades."
He joked as Isamu would let out a giggle and smile.
"Funny joke for a dead man indeed, Yakeru."
Yakeru heard this as his eyes widened in shock as he looked at Isamu.
"My Lord, are you really going to consider my offer? because I am ready to sacrifice my life for the kingdom and to protect the future of my great-great-great granddaughter, my lord."
Isamu would sigh and think about it before nodding, as Yakeru would be happy to hear this as the scene shifted back to the fight against Belial.
