"Sorry mam, Mam I'm truly sorry, I didn't mean that, it slipped out mouth" her knees touching the floor with a flea, daring not forming ignorance,
She had come across many women who had stepped foot in the house to please Master Vincent. They were all full of themselves, never missing the opportunity to belittle the servants. She knew it wasn't her place to gossip about what kind of women go in and out of the house, but she was curious about the woman in the room, not only her but the rest of the servants.
"I want-" the maid drive into Arya's soft tone and her pleased became more sincere.
"Don't report me to master Vincent. I thought you were one of the many women who came to warm his bed. Please forgive my stupidity." Her eye watered by the chances of her being killed.
Arya was at first offended by the girl's words. How could she jump to a conclusion about her like that? But then it wasn't her fault her curiosity got the better of her. Removing the blanket from her body, she sat up and spoke, her throat a bit horse.
"Can you help me to the restroom? "
The maids' facial expressions were drawn together in a query. Help her? Can't she go on her own? The girl unconsciously shook the thought from her head. Who was she to question? She quickly got up and hurriedly want to the bed. Helping Arya out of the bed and she realized that the girl was blind. Interesting, she thought to herself.
Back and forth from the restroom, she sat Arya down on the bed before she took some time to ask, "Would you want me to help you with anything else?" her words were steady as not to sound offending.
Arya shook her head, not finding any other task she needed the maid for, not wanting things to be more difficult for her.
"Do you want me to inform Master Vincent that you've gained consciousness? " She suggested, her words and demeanor politer than before. Arya did not have anything against her idea.
"Where is he?"
"Master Vincent? His currently having breakfast with sir Rui. Do you wish to see him? We cou-"
"No" Arya was quick to reply, and she embarrassly said, "I haven't taken my bath yet. " She felt sticky, and she hasn't washed her hair for a few days now. She would like to make herself presentable before him.
She hadn't stepped foot outside the room since only God knows when. She was still trying to wrap her mind around everything that had happened. Not to forget this was a new place with new people whom she didn't even know, and she had still not hear any news about Erin.
The maid nodded in agreement. She was right, she had to take her bath first, "I can help you if you don't, mind," she gingerly said.
Arya took some time to ponder about her words. She had not stood naked in front of anyone apart from Erin, and she felt a little hesitant before she agreed.
When the water touched her skin, she shivered. It took some while before she got a custom to the maid touching her; she felt the maid pour some scented soap on her hair and she undid the knot on her hair before pouring water over and over again and started rubbing the scrap of her head.
She hummed in satisfaction, and close her eyes to feel the hands do magic on her, it felt so good. Lost in the fantasy of pleasure, she missed the sounding of the door been opened.
"Sleeping beautiful is finally awake" Vincent's voice forced her eyes to open.
Arya gasped at the familiar voice of Vincent and her eyes grew wide, her hands flew to cover her intimate parts. What the fuck?! The maid said he was having breakfast, so what was he doing here, and she was naked for crying out loud.
The maid immediately stepped aside, giving Vincent the angled views to see her perfect body underneath the clear soapy water, and she was not doing a good job in covering her breast either, he thought, because her breast was spilling out from her tiny hands.
Walking closer to her, he said with his eyes wide open that had a taste of wickedness and some bit of wildness, "I thought I would have to kiss you to bring you back from your dreamland," he clicked his tongue, "Too bad. "
Arya thought of dying at this moment and she slide her body down into the water. Kill her! Why don't God just kill so that she could die from embarrassment. Her legs tightly closed, she cleared her throat and mange to say.
"Can you please step out?"
"Why? " a teasing smile played on his lips. "What got you so red?"
Her already red face became more flushed, before she felt him closer to her. "Don't you have any sense of privacy? " She almost cried.
"Privacy huh, for someone who in my property and using my bathtub," now advertising his gaze to her red face.
And the next moment, she did something that caught him off the hook. "I know that I'm in your house, but that does not mean you can step into my space any time you want! " She yelled out for him to serious his brows at her cheeks, rolling down in tears.
She broke down into a series of sobs, "I know you saved me, and I appreciate that, but don't you think you're going too far, have only been here for some days but I have already been labeled as a whore, is that fair…" she said the last part softly.
With all the things that had happened for the past few days, she was mentally exhausted and scared, scared of the fact that her friend might be dead, trying to keep a lid on her emotions. In the emotional breakdown of anger and frustration, she blurted out something she ought not to have said.
In the carriage of riding emotions, the maid at the door felt a big lump in her throat. She was dead! She was dead meat. Would it be a good idea if she just admitted that she was the one that said it? Asked the maid to herself, maybe her punishment might lessen.
The tears in her eyes slowly evaporated, but her face turned pale as the sounding of her words played in the back of her head.
"Who did you hear that from? " Vincent's eyes had turned dark, not because of her yelling at him but because she was now being called names without his permission.
"what?" she whispered. Her voice came out lower than the one she used during the time she vented her anger out at him. And in a near moment she shifted her eyes to we're the maid supposedly stood. Which did not go unnoticed by Vincent.
So now he knew who said what. He shifted his gaze at the maid, who kept her head down before swaying back at Arya, who now let her guide down.
"Seems like people never learn. " His words caused the maid's heart to skip a missing beat.
