The Arrow snake was a low grade magic beast. Even if it was low grade, it was still a magic beast and thus, their body itself was still a treasure.
"Curses! I should have used my claws instead. It's poison sack was famous popular among the hunters because it made hunting easier." Henry signed as he looked at the snake ashes.
"Nevermind that, Status!!" As Henry muttered and willed, the red screen appeared before his eyes.

"Not bad! On the bright side, I leveled up once after killing it." Henry face brighten but his excitement was short as he suddenly frowned.
"Great, now the burning smell and sound will attract other monsters."
The smell of the fire spread. He wasn't the only one smelling it. The snowy mountains were inhabited by many monsters, but the main inhabitants of its depths were the snow wolves.
"Awoo!"
They howled in excitement.
Carried by the wind, their maniacal howls reached Henry's ears.
Henry smiled coldly as his ears flinched an instant later. He could hear the sounds of footsteps. They were far away. But it took only several seconds for Henry to determine how many were approaching him.
"There are twelve… They are low grade monsters. Nice!"
Henry was looking straight ahead. A pair of amber eyes entered his lines of sight. Then the second pair of eyes popped out in the darkness, followed by the third pair. In total, 11 wolves walked out and glared at him ruthlessly.
They came before of the sound of battle and found fresh meat. What a treat." They were around 1 meter tall and looked extremely threatening with their mouths opened and fangs revealed. But

"Seriously, wolves! At least give me something different. Wait, I counted 12, but there are only eleven here. Damnit, I knew I shouldn't have dropped out."
But he wasn't wrong
The last snow wolf had used the veil of the night as its cover to circle behind him. It was crouching close to a tree that was behind Henry. It was able to cover up its track. But its breathings were caught by his ears.
The snow wolves in front roared threateningly. Henry took a step back. Immediately, the snow wolf behind took this chance and jumped out from its hiding spot, clawing at Henry's exposed neck.
"I see you!" Henry said shamelessly as he responded to it instantly. He had been expecting this sneak attack since the moment he stepped back.

The snow wolf suddenly felt pain. Looking down, it saw a reddish claw stabbed into its chest. It uttered a weak roar.
Henry pulled his claw out. Blood gushed out of its limp body immediately. With a thud, it dropped to the ground, its eyes lifeless.
『Ding! You killed a Low Grade Snow Wolf.』
『You Gained 30 Experience Points!』
The snow wolves planned sneak attack failed. Their kin also died. As a result, all of them were enraged.

The snow wolves howled and rushed at Henry from all directions. Two moments later, the opened jaws of three snow wolves were threatened to reap off Henry's head. Instead of retreating, he jumped ahead and slashed his claws.
A split second later, he landed on the ground uninjured. The snow wolves behind him crashed down. There was a line on their neck. It gleamed eerily.
『Ding! Congratulations on killing five Low Grade Snow Wolves!』

Their head then detached from their body.
So far, he had killed six snow wolves. But he suddenly felt the chills in his spine.
Danger was approaching him!
But the other snow wolves didn't sit still as he slew the others.
They clawed at him, threatening to tear him apart but they were soon shocked as their claws couldn't pierce his skin as it hit something hard.

They looked at Henry's body and discovered it was covered by dark red scales.
The wolves immediately jumped back and looked at Henry with wide eyes filled with fear.
Henry smirked and pounced on the snow wolf that was by itself.
He swung his claws and it appeared like a blur to the Snow Wolf, but it jumped back instinctively. It thought it had dodged it, but the pain assaulting its senses and the fresh red blood on the tip of Henry's claws told an entirely different story.
Its body slowly lowered to the ground. With a punctured heart, it didn't have long to live. So it pounced on Henry again, saliva and blood dripping out its mouth. It was a desperate attack to bring Henry down with it, however it's efforts were futile as its sent it flying backwards with a kick to the chest.
Its heart burst, signifying its end.

However, it knew it could not bring Henry down with it, therefore it's plan was solely to stale him so that the other Snow Wolf would get him.
Before Henry noticed, A snow wolf had reached infinitely close to him and clawed. Blood gushed out… but this blood… it didn't belong to a human!

This snow wolf died without knowing how. Henry thrusted his claws into the into its wide-opened mouth. His claws had pierced the front of its skull and shot out from the back of its throat. A gruesome sight.
The snow wolves didn't give him any chance to rest. Two attacked him from the sides. One attacked him from the front fearlessly.
Henry smiled.

He shot his hands forward and sent forward a fierce burst of flames that scorched the unlucky snow wolf at the end of the torrent of flames.

But Henry ignored it as two claws were inching close to his body. He swung his claws. He was far faster than them, therefore,
His claws effortlessly slashed through the two snow wolves necks, causing their body to fall to the ground lifeless and paint the ground red with their blood.

After he heard that, he felt his strength rising as an unknown energy filled him. But his attention was soon shifted to something else.

He hadn't killed all the snow wolves and the surviving wolves ran away and brought reinforcement.
"OMG, free Exp!!!" Henry's expression lit up
He dashed forward with incredible speed and slashed his claws at two snow wolves.
Spurt!
The two snow wolves were beheaded under the cloudy sky, their blood splashing on the snow.
"Keek!"
"Yaah!"
Six more attacked him. But he killed them by sending a huge fire ball towards them, setting them ablaze.
The thick scent of blood drew more and more snow wolves out of their hiding place.
He had no time to rest.
He can't stop.

Henry kept receiving notifications as he killed the 68th snow wolf. He stood in the center of their corpses with a dozen snow wolves surrounding him.
He was alone, and they outnumbered him. Yet, the one afraid wasn't him but the snow wolves. They were looking at him in fear. They were smart. They had proven it by repeatedly sneak attacking him and coordinating their attacks. They were equally proud, however. However, Henry had crushed their pride and made them fear him by killing dozens of their kin.
Therefore, the snow wolves tucked their tails between their legs and turned around to make a run for it.
"AWOOOOO!"
They hadn't taken three steps when a howl reaching for the moon intimidated them to come to a stop.
Henry looked up, and his eyes narrowed.
"A bigger trouble has come…."
What stood in his vision was 2 meter tall Snow Wolf Leader. Its fur was snow white with some patches of black here and there. With its every movement, lightning coursed through its figure and charred the ground around it. its oppressive aura was like a towering mountain that crashed on Henry's back.
However, Henry countered it by releasing his own aura.
