In this world, there are different types of dungeons and they were put into three categories.
When finding a dungeon, it was either an Chaos dungeon, a permanent dungeon, or a temporary dungeon.
Permanent dungeons were dungeons that would stay where they were formed and can be cleared a numerous amount of times.
Not much is known as the Chaos dungeons, all that they knew was that it housed magic beasts more powerful than those in other dungeons.
On the other hand, temporary dungeons were dungeons that would either break and let all the creatures within it out, creating a dungeon break, also known as Breakdown phenomena, where hundreds or thousands would die if not cleared.
That was the main reason powerful people were so sought after, as humanity would have suffered greatly without them.
Henry walked towards the lifeless snow wolf leader and hacked his 'Dragon claws' deep into the beast until he found what he was looking for.
Plunging his hand in, he quickly retracted it, yet this time a spherical object that shone with a distinct blueish light could be seen held in his hand.
Magic beasts contain something in their bodies called the monster core. But not every magic beast have them as they are usually found in monster in temporary dungeons.
Of course, the bodies of the magic beasts itself can be used to create fantastic weapons, armors and potions. However, despite knowing this, Henry was more focused on something else.
"Now that's done, Let's see the fruit of my labour, Shall we? Stats!" Henry muttered and a red screen appeared Infront of his line of vision.

"Holy F**k! I Leveled up so much! Looks like killed that peak grade 2 wolf leader really boosted my stats." Henry shouted, full of surprise.
The ranking system for magic beasts are listed as follows;
Grade 1
Grade 2
Grade 3
Grade 4
Grade 5
Grade 6
With grade 1 being the weakest while grade 6 also known as the "Alpha rank" was the strongest. Each rank has three steps; Low, mid and peak. The snow wolf leader that Henry fought was a peak grade 2 magic beast.
The same can be said for the awakeners who have the following rankings; E, D, C, B, A, S. With E rank being the weakest and S being the strongest.
It is said there are only five S awakeners in the world. It was even speculated that each of them have the power to destroy the world. But those were just speculations which haven't been confirmed. However, it is no doubt that the S rankers are weapon of mass destruction.
"This was surely a fruitfull harvest." Henry was ecstatic. Seeing his stats which had increased more than tenfold.
Due to this battle, he confirmed something that was bugging him and that was his agility stats.
The Agility did not increase his speed, but rather, it was as if the opponent's movement had become far slower in his perception, instead.
He thought back when he fought against the snow wolves and how he perceived their movements to be slow. Wolves magic beasts are known for their speed yet he can perceive them in slow motion.
Should he describe it as him being able to manipulate the time flow as he wished? It became easier to evade enemies' attacks, and it also became easier to hit them as well.
As the word implied, he had indeed become more 'agile'.
The Strength stats increases his body strength. Naturally, it will increase his overall body strength and speed.
The Stamina stats increased his overall stamina, his defense stats increased his durability but he didn't know what his intelligence stats does.
"What is Intelligence? Is it related to my intelligence?" Henry asked the system.
『The intelligence stats is related to your intelligence in terms of mana. How you see and observe mana in your surroundings. It also affects your MP!』
Hearing the system's explanation, Henry's eyebrows rose. "Wow, that's pretty cool. But when will I be able to transform into a dragon."
『When you fully unlock your fire dragon bloodline, you'll be able to fully transform into a dragon!』
"And when is that?" Henry asked, somewhat disappointed.
『When you reach level 50, your dragon bloodline will be fully awakened!』
"What? Why?" Henry shouted puzzled.
『Its not my fault that the host is so weak』
Henry: ( ^_^ )
Although he had a smile on his face, however, his mind was chaotic. He had the urge to curse upon seeing the bluntness of the system.
"I...." He wanted to argue but he paused since he knew deep down that the system's words were the truth. He remembered his sad life when he didn't have the system or his powers where he had to drop out and work at a young age.
"You know what, forget this!" Henry said admitting defeat, "but how should I distribute my attribute points."
"Right now, my strength stats is above my other stats. My Agility stats is also high too, so to make fighting easier I have to strengthen my stamina, defense and intelligence." Henry thought deeply as he held his chin.
His MP which was his mana was also very important for using skills. His strength stats was twice as great as almost all his other stats. That meant he was already very much stronger than average E rank awakener.
Then Henry continued and added his attribute points to his stats.
"Add 5 points to intelligence."
[ Intelligence: 55 ]
"Then add 5 points to Stamina and defense."
[ Defense: 60 ]
[ Stamina: 50 ]
"And... i think i'm done for now." Henry heaved a sigh of relief.

Henry nodded, satisfied seeing his Status Window.
"I will distribute my skill points later" After saying so, he watched as a portal right Infront of him appeared out of thin air.
This normally happens when someone completes the dungeon. Seeing that the portal had appeared, Henry swiftly walked into the vortex.
Upon arriving in the real world, he realized how he was strained with wolf blood and how tattered his clothing looked.
Seeing the state of his clothing, he sighed before heading home. When he reached his home, he looked around before jumping into his window. It will be troublesome if his neighbor saw entering his room and mistakes him for a robber.
He quickly made way to his bathroom and took off his clothes. All 10 minutes of washing himself, all the blood have disappeared as if they never existed.
Seeing that he was spotless, he could not help but inspect himself in the mirror. Right now, Henry was looking at his shirtless upper frame, yet he still could not believe that what he saw in the mirror was actually his body.
From childhood, he was always known to be slim and even when he was a scavenger, although had some muscle, it wasn't defined and his was at average height as well.
He now had a pair of pecks, refined shoulder and arm muscles, and a clearly formed six-pack.
While he was around 5ft 10 before, now he was easily 6"2" ft tall. This change was not something he realized until now. But one apparent stood out the most.
A pair of crimson blood eyes stared back at him from the mirror's reflection. While before, his eyes were clearly a black color, now they were red, unlike in the forest when they were dull enough for no one to take a second glance.
Looking into the mirror for a bit longer, Henry could not help but sigh while rubbing the bridge of his nose. Although he was happy about his eye color now, It will take him a while to get used to them.
Quickly clothing himself, he walked out of the bathroom and fell on his bed like a log of wood. He fell asleep instantly.
