Chapter 2 - Stuck in hell or out

Louis gently opened her eyes adjusting to the sight of the environment.

It was dark and cold and then she discovered that she was sitting on a large bed that could contain six people.

Her eyes wandered around.

Where was she?

She placed her legs on the ground about to stand when the lights came on and then she saw the door was opened.

A petite figure stood at the front of the door welcomed with a displeasure expression from Louis.

"Oh my, you're awake," Hailey said nicely.

Louis's eyes scrutinized the room and then she turned to the woman who could give her an explanation.

"Where am I?"

"You shouldn't think so much, dear, a bath is prepared for you, you should shower instead."

Louis stood up from the bed and her gaze landed on the window, she walked towards the window looking at the outside view, and she realized she must be either at a hotel or a mansion.

"Dear, you at Moses' house." Hailey informed.

Louis turned to the woman in shock.

So this was his plan. His house was so huge just looking at the space in front of the house, full of beautiful flowers, it felt so alluring.

"What's going on?" Louis muttered placing a frown on Hailey's face.

"What do you mean, dear?"

Louis turned around.

"Ma'am, please don't call me, dear. Do you know what Moses is planning?"

Hailey gently shook her head.

"Your Moses is such a devil, that's why he took me. He's the worst, a demon in disguise!!"

"You're speaking wrongly of Moses because you don't know who Moses is."

Louis chuckled scornfully.

"I should believe what you're saying right?" She asked with a dangerous gaze stepping towards Hailey.

The smile on Louis's face was like a brutal villain who was crazily annoyed.

"What are you saying?"

"I want to be out of this house, take me away, I want to be out!!!" She said crazily and then she walked towards any material in the room throwing away whatever she could throw repeatedly saying her words.

"Hey, Lady, stop," Hailey said but she didn't comply throwing still, Hailey came towards her about to hold her arm to stop her but then she got hit on the nose by Louis' elbow.

"Ahhh," Hailey growled in pain falling to the ground.

As she fell to the ground, Louis heard her pain and then she turned to see her as Louis immediately approached her.

"Are, are you okay?" Louis asked concerned as Hailey raised her head to meet Louis'.

"Why are you behaving like a bad person?"

Louis slowly removed her hands from Hailey's shoulder with an indifferent frown.

"I know Moses brought you here forcefully but that doesn't make him to be a bad person."

Louis chuckled scornfully as she stood up.

"Wow," she clapped. "You're good at this, you're telling me to accept someone who'd created suffering for me just because of one night. You know what, I rather kill him than get involved or even think of liking Moses."

"Dear, be careful of your words here!"

"You know what? I want to be free, I want to be free away from Moses and..."

"You're not the only one who wants to be free from him," hearing another voice say, she turned in the direction of where the voice came from seeing Kelvin at the door staring at her coldly.

"What about this? I could give you till this midnight, I could let you find a way to get you away from this place." He released his folded arms as he stood straight from leaning on the door.

"Kelvin, what are you doing?" Hailey asked as she stood from the ground.

"Nanny Hailey, if she said she wants to leave then why shouldn't she go?"

"Who are you?" Louis asked.

"You could call me your key to freedom from hell." He said with a poker face as he stretched his hand.

"Do you want that kind of dream or do you want to get stuck in hell?"

"Kelvin, stop it," Hailey warned.

"I'll do it, whatever you say as long as it brings me far away from this place."

"You've done well," Kelvin said coldly with a small smile arched at the corner of his lip as Louis accepted his handshake.

"But when are you taking me out of this place?"

"The time when the night paves the way for an escape," Kelvin replied.

---

Hailey walked forth and backward in her room in wonder at two happenings.

But first, her head wondered why she couldn't see Louis past when she held her hand.

Hailey was not human as someone would have expected her to be, she could see the past of anyone she wanted to see and that was why she could see the past suffering and pain of Moses.

This was why she was trying to reason with Louis so she could not see him as a bad person, if only she knew what Moses had been through.

And now, when she was about to see why Louis hated Moses so much, she couldn't see her past, not even a glint of it.

This was the first person she'd encountered and the next question was, why she couldn't see her past?

"Who could she be?" Hailey murmured.
