Louis gasped, though before the cloth could fall beyond her reach, it was held at the shoulder side, hooked in his finger, Louis looked innocent though she knew she was caught red-handed.
"Moses, first listen to her," Hailey said but she paused by Moses who raised his hand to halt her as his expression on Louis was deadshot with a cold aura.
"From where did you take this cloth?" He asked coldly as Louis gulped her saliva rubbing her hand from behind.
"Hmm, from the closet, I... I," she stuttered thinking of what she could say, expecting to receive a backlash just from his gaze, he adjusted the cloth on her, and then his gaze landed on her once more as she backed a bit.
"That's the last time you take from my stuff, take this, is no longer useful to me," Moses said curtly though he was calm and then, he went away.
Louis held her chest feeling her heart pounding, just from his look, she wondered if the devil figure she saw of him was the one getting her affected.
"That's one thing Moses hates about females, he doesn't like his stuff being touched by another without getting his permission, neither any maid could come here to analyze his cloth nor could his brother even gets to do so. You have to remember next time to be far from his things, besides, you must be hungry, you have to go downstairs and eat, the food is getting cold."
"I don't want to eat," Louis replied getting betrayed by her stomach as it growled loudly.
"You see, even your stomach is protesting against your calm."
"But I really don't feel like taking anything."
Hailey had a smile on her face hearing her childish denial.
"Now I get it, you're saying so because you don't trust me with the food, right?"
"There are a thousand explanations on why I don't want to take any food, so please, could you leave? I'm already getting suffocated with your presence around."
"At least, you should drink some water."
"If I don't request food then why do you expect me to request water?"
"Your stubbornness would make you starve, at least just once, or if you like you could cook food for yourself."
Louis pouted her lip, if she didn't take a meal now, her stomach would only cry more in hunger and if she decides on making a meal for herself, how was she going to do that?
"Is your choice to make, I'll be waiting for your reply," Hailey was about leaving but then Louis caught her hand.
"Wait," Hailey turned giving her a sharp look as Louis gently removed her hand.
"At least could you make the food? I'll be there to see."
Hailey pursed her lip to speak but she was cut short by Louis' statement.
"Is not about not trusting you with the food but I want to see how you cook in this house."
"So if I want to process what you've just said in the original statement is supposed to be, you didn't give in to any of my choices because you can't cook even if you decide on doing it on your own?"
Louis formed a small smile on her face as a reply.
"Okay then, but you would have to change from Moses' cloth."
"But he gave me the cloth to wear," once again, a tough look was given to her.
"Girl, it seems you love to keep your hand in the boiling soup. He gave you the cloth but do you think he wants to see you walking around with his cloth?"
Louis arched an eyebrow pressing her lip into a thin line.
"Aren't you Moses' nanny? Please could you do this for me? If he tries to get me into a punishment then you could defend me. Please? And as a matter of the cloth, you would be there to be as a witness to his statement. Please?"
"But dear-"
"Louis."
"Louis, you have to listen, you-" Hailey got interrupted by the sound of Louis's stomach growling.
"Okay," Hailey stated.
"Let's go," Hailey added as she walked out of the room Louis follow from behind, as her feet touched the ground outside the bedroom, she was in awe looking at the environment.
The hallway was large filled with different paintings hung on the wall, classical yet elegant, Louis couldn't notice Hailey had walked far from her as her eyes set view on the garden from the window.
She heard most rich people love gardens in their houses to make them look fancy though she felt the garden only made the house a taste of a historical setting.
"Louis," Louis gasped hearing Hailey's call and then she immediately approached her.
"If you leave the room, you should have a maid to guide you in this place, mind you, you shouldn't move everywhere."
Hailey instructed as she got down the large stairs but Louis was caught by the sound of heavy footsteps that came towards them.
"Why should she call a maid, I'm there to be the tour guide. If she asks then I could take her. Besides, Master has permitted me to do so."
Louis turned her head to the side to see the person that spoke with a smile on his face as she plastered a frown on hers.
"Who are you?" Louis questioned.
"Oh my apologies, Madam," he said with a little bow.
"You could call me, Philip, I'm the tour guide of this house just for you, though I'm the Master's butler. Wheresoever you ask, I could give you a tour guide in that area, all you need is to call me and I'll be at your service." He said cheerfully.
"Thank you so much, I promise, if I need direction then I'll call you you." She said promisingly with satisfaction on her face.
"Don't think of fooling, Louis, he's best at knowing what he's doing, that's why you can't fool him easily. Besides, he wouldn't be there most of the time, I'll be the one who's going to be your tour guide. I just wanted to see your reaction." Moses came with a devilish smile on his face as he walked towards the stairs.
