While Astrick was busy discovering the new changes happening in his body, the black-haired boy in the dark space was losing his mind trying to find out what had just happened.
He was doing his new normal routine of trying to teach Mary some new words which was going better than he had expected at first as Mary was very good at memorizing new things and seemed to learn stuff pretty quickly.
Today he was going to give her a simple quiz after teaching her some new words to test her a little, looking to his side where Mary was the boy couldn't help but feel heart warmed as he gave a little nice smile...
He always had this little nice spot in his heart for little kids, and although Mary has got the body of a teenager, her actions were no different than actual young children.
"Hey, Mary take a look here, this is called a flower... flowers have a very nice smell and some of them have these nice colours that make them very appealing to the eye and they're considered to be a great symbol that resembles the beauty of nature... "
Explaining what he knows about flowers the boy created a bouquet of the blue hydrangea flower showing it to Mary's curious eyes.
She was looking at the bouquet with her big purple eyes with a look of curiosity shown on her cute face as she opened her mouth...
"Fwaors... " Mary tried her best to pronounce it correctly but the only thing that got out of her mouth was a cute childish version of the word that just made the boy want to squish and squeeze her cute pure little cheeks.
But as he was drowning in his thoughts about it, he felt the ground down below him starting to shake, as an earthquake started in the dark space all out of nowhere, and with each passing second the intensity of the earthquake only increased to the point where the boy and Mary were unable to sit still as they were being thrown all around the floors losing any sort of ability to regain control of their bodies.
Mary didn't have any idea about what was happening or why it was happening but her primal fear took over her as she started crying hoping for the black-haired boy to come save her...
But how could he save her if he was in the same situation?
"Damn everything! " The boy cussed under his breath as he didn't spare any of Astrick's ancestors from his execrations.
He already knew that whatever is happening right now was because of Astrick as the only times anything like that had happened in the dark space was due to Astrick's soul changes.
And although he hasn't been watching him that often in the past few days he could sense that his soul was going through some dramatic changes at the moment while he suffered the consequences.
And if the insanely intense earthquake wasn't enough on its own, white and purple cracks and tears started appearing in the Dark space sky one after another until the sky was filled with hundreds of them, at first the boy was seeing that the cracks were opening in a completely random way...
But after a few cracks had already opened the boy was able to see some patterns for something he was not excited about.
Eventually, after about a minute or so the boy was looking up towards the cracks in the sky with a dark look on his face...
It has been thousands of years since he had felt this emotion he reached the point where he doesn't even know how to feel it anymore but now feeling it once again he remembered...
He now remembers the true meaning of FEAR...
He didn't know what it was but something in those cracks made his primal instincts scream at him telling him to run as far away from those tears as possible...
"Uaaaaaa... " Getting him back to reality was Mary's cry as she was still sitting on the ground crying out of fear from what just happened.
The boy got himself out of the state of astonishment he was in as he ran to Mary's side and tried to calm her down by hugging her and patting her head slowly as he said in a reassuring tone,
"It's okay... It's okay... I'm right here, I'm right here... "
Whatever he was doing seemed to have paid off as Mary stopped crying and instantly fell asleep between his arms.
Creating a nice and comfortable bed for her, the boy held her up like a Princess as he put her gently on the bed wrapping her up with the covers.
After he was done helping Mary to relax he finally had the time to find out what the hell just happened.
Just a couple of seconds ago when he created the bed for Mary he felt something different with his soul energy...
For some reason, his soul energy pool had shrunk... And not just a little bit as a quarter of it has completely disappeared leaving no trace of its existence behind.
He decided to finally take a look at what Astrick has been doing that caused all this chaos the boy had to deal with.
He could already sense that Astrick got much stronger than before but the boy didn't think that his strength gain was the full reason behind it.
Looking through Astrick's eyes he couldn't help but let out a full chain of curses as he was able to see a familiar blue energy flowing through Astrick's body.
"F*ck you, you motherf*cking son of a b*tch...you f*cking thief, you're so annoying... Urrrgggh"
After getting out his irritation and frustration a bit more...
With a last sigh, he turned his head up slowly as he knew he can't procrastinate with this for much longer, but even knowing this fact he still hoped that somehow the tears would disappear and never appear again...
But to his disappointment, the cracks were still up shining brightly in the sky, if anything they just seemed to be shining even brighter than he remembers... But of course that was only the boy's imagination as it was still the same as a few minutes ago...
Gazing into the poorly written words above his head the boy felt like the temperature was so low as he also felt shivers running down his spine.
Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath to calm down, the boy looked towards the sky once again as he was finally sure of his previous suspicions...
After the first time Astrick had an impact on the dark space the boy felt something was watching him...
He didn't make much of it and just thought it was an illusion and his mind was playing tricks on him but the second time he felt it again even stronger.
Since then he had a suspicion that something unknown is somehow living in Astrick's soul, of course, that was just a wild guess and he might be very mistaken...
But something inside his guts told him he was closer to the truth than he thinks.
