Chapter 6 - Second Attempt

Come on, Tuile. I'll be waiting for you at the temple…..

As she held the amulet in her hand, she felt its weight and traced the intricate patterns etched into its surface. Memories of her mother flooded her mind, her voice echoing as if she was still there beside her. Lost in thought, she was startled when the door suddenly creaked open, causing her to turn around quickly to see who had entered.

" I was so worried, I thought that woman took you with her.'  Azuiel spoke kindly to the little girl before she approached her to give her a warm and comforting hug. As she did, she couldn't help but notice the stunning amulet the child held delicately in her hands.  It's intricate design and shimmering gems caught Azuiel's eyes, leaving her in awe of its beauty." If you don't mind me asking, where did you obtain such an heirloom?"

As the woman recalled a servant with the same amulet. Her attention was drawn to the striking amulet hanging delicately around the young girl's neck. The woman felt a pang of envy towards, Tuile's mother for having such a precious piece of jewelry. With a sudden impulse, she reached out her hand to take the amulet but was met with a swift and forceful push, causing her hand to retract in shock.

What was that?

It seems that Tuile was not entirely awake of the occurrences that have transpired.

" Lady Azuiel,  I am happy that Mama came to visit yesterday. Please don't tell anyone, but I am supposed to meet her at the temple right now."  The young child's eyes brimmed with excitement as she animatedly conveyed her fervent desire to plan a daring escape with her mother. The very thought of delving into uncharted territory filled her with an indescribable sense of elation, yet the prospect of venturing into an unfamiliar world also evoked a tinge of nervousness within her. Nonetheless, her unbridled enthusiasm to explore and unravel the new mysteries far outweighed any reservations that may have lingered in her mind.

Azuiel could not believe the words that had just been spoken by the child, and a rush of emotions flooded through her. She felt a sudden surge of anger and resentment, mixed with an overwhelming sense of jealousy. She was afraid and did not want to lose this child as she had considered as her own." You are not going anywhere, young miss!" She forcefully grabbed her arm.

" Lady Azuiel, you are hurting me." She whined and struggled to break free.

The woman was saddened by the child's painful expression, then soon released her hand. She cares deeply for Tuile. It was not her intention to cause any harm. After her eyes gazed upon the purple bruise on the little girl's arms, she became heartbroken.

" I did not mean to hurt you, Tuile.  I am very sorry! – Please do not leave.  That woman abandoned you and do not love you! You were nothing but trash to discard to her but think twice of who really been there for you. I am the person that protected you from certain death. I fed you, bathe you and put clothes on your body."

"You are so mean…"

Amidst the quietness of the hallways, a sudden and deafening commotion broke out as a group of soldiers, armed to the teeth, marched in unison, following the orders of Her Majesty. Their mission was clear: to apprehend the criminal at all costs and bring them to justice. The tension in the air was palpable, and one could sense the level of dedication and determination that drove these soldiers to carry out their duty with precision and care.

With a swift maneuver, Tuile hastily approached the door, deftly slipping away from her servant's line of sight. She deftly merged into the swarm of individuals hustling through the castle's corridors desperately.

As the young prince engaged in a conversation with his devoted servant, he suddenly caught a glimpse of his little sister running with an enchanted amulet around her delicate neck. Without a second thought, he swiftly pursued her, while his loyal servant called out in an attempt to stop, however, but as they navigated through the vibrating and bustling crowd of soldiers, the servant, regrettably, lost sight of the prince.

As the young boy hurriedly closed the distance between himself and his sister, he reached out and tenderly clasped her hand within his own. Feeling a sense of security and reassurance wash over her, the girl turned her head and discovered that it was her elder brother, Noel.

Tuile, where are you headed? It's not safe to be out right now. We should stay in our room."

" I do not have a lot of time. My mommy is waiting for me. Do you know the way out?"

Noel realized that the words he uttered before were not just insensitive but hurtful to his dear little sister. He is acutely cognization of the impact of his actions and is relieved to witness that gradual restoration of the person's former self. Despite the gravity of the situation, Noel remains optimistic and committed to his longstanding vow to reunite his young sister with her mother.

" Follow me, Tuile."

The two servants dutifully approached Her Majesty to report the unsettling news of the children's disappearance. However, much to their relief, they soon spotted the two little ones crossing the bridge, hand in hand, before the report could be fully delivered.

Tuile chest heaved, desperately trying to draw in enough air to speak," I we keep going this way, we will come across the temple. Right by my old home." Despite her exhaustion, Tuile forced herself to pick up the pace and quicken their journey.

As they hastened through the neighboring town, their pace quickening at the sound of approaching footsteps, they sought refuge behind the nearest available cover. After a few moments of tense, silence, they cautiously made their way towards the nearby forest, their hearts racing with the fear of being caught.

Tuile stopped in her tracking and looked at the home she once lived in that was reduced to ashes.  She remembers that night like it was yesterday.

" I noticed that you received my message." Her mother emerged from behind a tree, pushing a small carriage.

" Mommy!"The little girl ran towards her mother happily.

" Young prince, thank you for protecting my daughter. I am indebted to you for finally allowing me to live peacefully with my daughter."  The timbre of the lady's voice was remarkably calming and ethereal, evoking a sense of divine bestowal. Her appearance was beyond the earthly realm, rendering the young boy flustered and embarrassed in her proximity.

"Mommy, can Noel come with us?"

The mother was caught off guard by the unexpected question posed by her daughter. She shifted her attention to the little boy and couldn't help but marvel at the deep connection the children had established with each other. The bond that they shared warmed her heart.

"Would you like to come with us, Prince Noel?"  With a gentle demeanor, she lowered herself to the same level as the young boy and addressed him in a friendly tone, her lips curling ever so slightly into a warm and graceful smile.

" It makes me sad that that I will never see Tuile again."

The passage of time continued, and a gathering of people tightly grasping torches that emitted a flickering glow could be discerned in the distance being spotted in the far off-horizon.

As the carriage passed through the darkened countryside, the children nestled together, their tiny hands intertwined tightly for comfort. Gradually, their eyelids grew heavy, and they succumbed to the gentle sway of the carriage, drifting off into a peaceful slumber.

'How am I supposed to raise two children with another one growing inside of me?'

She gently places her hand on her stomach, feeling the small movements of her growing baby. As the thought of the man came across her mind, she threw up.

—Oh my, what have I done? Her Majesty will think that I kidnap the young prince.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom finds itself in chaos due to the unexplained disappearance of the princess and prince. Authorities have taken the unprecedented step of issuing a wanted poster for Yavanna, a slave who is said to be in service of the Queen. This has raised concerns among the populace, who now wonder what could have led to such drastic events.

"Your Majesty, there has been a rumor that a woman with two children visited a town and asked for directions to get across the border."  The male guard respectfully lowered his head.

" Why are you here?" She questioned, but as he proceeded to lift up his head, it was sliced off clean with a blade.

Man is so fucking useless. Why do they even exist?

Her Majesty crossed one leg over the other, and the man trembled at her presence and then quickly shattered out of the room.
