Chapter 9 - A Year Of Training!

Six Months of Training…..

When the mage extended his hand to Tuile and presented her with a wand to help her control her unstable magic, she couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension. Nevertheless, she listened intently to the man's instructions, hoping that this would be the key to reuniting with the young prince. As Tuile took hold of the wand and a dazzling purple light radiated from its tip, causing the pillar to shatter into countless fragments, she didn't feel any elation or sense of accomplishment. Instead, she was filled with a profound sense of emptiness and hollowness that left her staring at the scattered remnants of the once-beautiful garden pillar.

How is this even possible? I heard that you aren't supposed to obtain magic until the age of maturity – which is fourteen.

"Look at the princess. I never doubted for a second."

"It's the royal blood!"

The rise and fall of Tuile's chest were palpable as she labored to regain her breath, her wand firmly clutched in her grasp. The exertion to unleash a potent attack had left her utterly depleted, her efforts having spanned hours without being aware that the sun had already set. The abrupt onset of darkness only served to compound her weariness, inducing a feeling of vulnerability and uncertainty as to how to proceed from there.

Tuile clasped the amulet in her hand, feeling its cool weight against her skin. She closed her eyes tightly, focusing all of her energy on the object before her. As she did so, a gentle breeze began to stir, rustling the leaves of the nearby trees. The wind grew stronger with each passing moment, whistling through the branches and tugging at Tuile's hair. With a deep breath, she channeled her power into the amulet, willing to the wind to obey her command.

The skilled mage stood at a distance, intently watching the progress of the young child with a deep sense of admiration. Leaning casually against the nearby wall, the mage kept a watchful eye on the child's every move, silently marveling at the natural talent and potential on display.

"Your majesty, it is my honor to inform you that you have a distinguished guest arriving today. The esteemed families have requested that you meet the prospective king, who no doubt has been eagerly anticipating to meet you."

" I am busy. I do not wish to see anyone.."

The tranquil garden reverberated with the measured steps of a youthful prince as he elegantly made his way toward Tuile. With the utmost grace, he greeted her with a gallant kiss on her hand, as he knelt down before her." Milady, it is an immense privilege to have the opportunity to be graced with your presence."

Upon catching sight of brother, Tuile was overcome with a sense of elation that she simply could not contain. A wide, beaming smile spread across her features as she darted towards him with great eagerness. Without a moment's hesitation, she leapt into his arms, calling out his name with a sense of pure joy. Although the force of her jump caused the two to loose their footing and tumble to the ground, they found themselves utterly unable to stop laughing at the adorable mishap.

" I miss you so much, Tuile!"

Every day, without fail, Noel quietly approached the window in his room careful not to make a sound as he peered out. His gaze is always fixed on his little sister, who can be seen training diligently with the cloak mage. It had been almost a year since the incident that led to their separation, but Noel still watches her from afar, his heart filled with a mixture of longing and hope.

That night…..

Amidst the cheerful and heartwarming gathering of the family, a servant politely cleared their throat, hoping to garner the attention of the young ones and briefly interrupt their celebration.

Tuile scrambled to her feet, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She lowered her head in a gesture of submission and lifted the hem of her skirt in a show of contrition. "I humbly beg your forgiveness," she uttered softly, apologetically.

She is diligently working to refine her manners and etiquette in order to make a favorable impression upon Her esteemed majesty. It is of the utmost importance to her that she conducts herself with the utmost grace and poise in the presence of such a distinguished

It's impressive how hard she's been working, it must be taking a toll on her. I recall when she had nothing and nobody seemed to care about her.

Noel glanced at his little sister and felt a tinge of jealousy that she had already found a suitable prince for marriage in the future. He couldn't quite understand why this bothered him so much. As he turned his head away, he suddenly remembered what Tuile's mother had done to her.

It must be the work of both mother and father.

As Tuile watched her brother's retreating figure, she noticed a subtle change in his demeanor that made her uneasy. Despite sharing his reservations about the institution of marriage, she couldn't help but feel a sense of helplessness in the face of societal expectations. Clenching her fists in frustration, she called out to him in a pleading tone, "Please, Noel, don't do anything rash."

He stopped walking, turned around, and faced his younger sister and the prince who was standing in front of him.

In just nine years, these two will rule the country together. It's really not in my place to do anything.

He did not want anyone to hurt her again like the time he found her in the lake unresponsive. It was the most terrifying moment in his life.

The boy had small injuries from when the carriage suddenly fell. His vision was blurred and seem that lady drowning Tuile. He struggle to stand on his own and limped towards her as the woman ran away when he checked for her pulse there was nothing and her body temperature began to drop.

As he turned the corner and caught a glimpse of her in the busy hallways, a chill ran down his spine, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he was coming face to face with a haunting apparition.

  " I must rest now."

In the peaceful confines of her chamber, the young child rest, her breathing steady and calm. Meanwhile, the wise and experienced mage knelt before the esteemed royal members, his eyes focus and his voice measured as he shared crucial information and conveyed his worries. With every word he spoke, he strove to ensure that the rulers of the land were fully informed and to make the best decision.

Is this a dream?

As she traverses through the vast expanse ahead, her feet pound the unyielding ground, each step propelling her further down that seemingly endless train.

The feeling of being powerless and having no control over her own body was an incredibly distressing experience for her. Even in the realm of her dreams, she felt that she should come level of authority over the situation playing out before her.

While situated in her dreams, she often opt for a plaid dress as her attire of choice complemented by twins tails as her preferred hairstyle. She was currently in a stare of reluctance, her pace quickening as she yearned to come to a complete stop.

Experiencing a state of immobility, where one is unable to exert control over one's movements, can be an extremely unsettling and disturbing experience. The feeling of being trapped in one's own body, unable to move or communicate effectively, can evoke feelings of helplessness and fear.

In due course, the motion ceased, and she came to a standstill. Though she was in a state of resembling a dream, she found herself powerless to exert any influence over her surroundings. She stood before an indistinct silhouette, it shape contorted and difficult to discern.

The inquistitive little girl gazed in wonderment at the enigmatic shadow before her and extended her tiny hands, seeking to make contact. As her fingers grzed the surface, she was taken aback by the peculiar sensation that seemed to emanate from the shadow, as if it had been a constant presence in her life. With a furrowed brow, she poses the question," May I ask who you are?"

"You have been granted a second chance at life but unfortunate you broke the seal sooner than expected.  The seal was meant to prevent other divine beings from interfering with your rebirth. Currently, we are connected when you are in a unconscious state.

What are you talking about? You not making sense!

The enigmatic entity that materialized before us was a perplexing sight to behold. Its formlessness and lack of corporeal existence made it seem as though it existed solely in the ethereal plane of the divine and spiritual realms. Its presence was both intriguing and unsettling, leaving us with many questions and an unshakable sense of awe.
