Now, Takemichi Hanagaki was in a meeting with Tomans Captains and Commanders.
The current debate was about Valhalla and Baji's defection. He had managed to avoid any problems, like meeting with Hanma in the arcade.
Right now, his priority was to rise in Toman, along with getting Kisaki Tetta booted. He had to meet Baji alone for his plan to proceed.
And a word ith Mikey too.
The meeting was coming to an end when Mikey called for him.
He waited for everyone to leave. Until it was only Mikey, Draken, and himself left.
He looked to the pile of boards Mikey was sitting on.
Mikey was the first to speak, with a melancholic expression, "You might be thinking that Toman is no longer as great as it once was. One Captain behind bars, another defected to a rival gang," he left a bitter laugh, Draken was scowling, Mikey continued, "I have to ask you for a favor. Bring Baji back to Toman. Whatever it takes. Please, he's one of my only friends. I need him in Toman."
There it was. Mikey's vulnerability and fear. Vulnerable to the thought that he would be left alone. And fear of losing control of his urges. His 'Dark Impulse.' A seemingly negative effect of the time leaps. Like a balance. Every time the leaper changes something, the dark impulse reacts and drops another bomb to change the timeline drastically. Like with the Bonten timeline.
I swallowed the spit that had gathered in my mouth and replied, "Mikey, I can not guarantee anything. But I will try my hardest to bring back Baji-san back to Toman."
He chuckled, "I see. Takemitchy, you will bring Baji back or die by my hands." The darkness in the voice was unnerving. The dark impulse was breaking out. Last time, he had only threatened to do it. This time, this time was different. My neck hair had risen in fear.
I replied back suppressing my fear, "That is extremely unreasonable Mikey," both the Commander and his right hand looked at me with surprise not expecting me to say something like that, I continued, "But since your being unreasonable, I will also be unreasonable, I want my own division."
Draken looked at me as though I had grown a second head. He growled, "What the hell are you playing at Hanagaki?"
Mikey spoke quietly but still silenced the two of us, "It's alright Kenchin. It seems Takemitchy k kws what he's doing. I will accept it. If you bring Baji back, you will have your own division. If you fail to do it, I will kill you. Okay?"
I nodded in response before turning and walking back.
Once he's in his home, Takemichi notes the date, 21st September. D-Day 31st October, Halloween.
It's time to get stronger.
-(Timeskip)- 6th October. 24 days till Halloween.
The training went well for the first 15 days until he realized he had a life. He took a shower and went out. The day was bright and full of joy a day tmTakemichi would've enjoyed if not for his sore body. He wore a black track pant and white shirt and left to go to the Mizo Middle Fives regular hangout. After dealing with their regular shenanigans, he left them and came back.
In the future, with third Bonten, Akkun was one of the main powerhouses who could go on par with the likes of Akashi Takeomi. He was one of the few people from the Toman days that truly remained by Takemichi's side. Right now, he needed Akkun to become what he was back then, an absolute beast, The Red Wraith. A name that was given to him because of his obviously red dyed hair and his relentless attacks that made him seem like an undead wraith.
Now, if all went according to plan, that and more would happen. He would get his own division, a promising powerhouse deputy, and a shot at taking out Black Dragons 10th Gen after this. Valhalla would be easy to deal with since the full power of Toman would be there. Black Dragon situation would be the most complicated since it directly concerns only the Second Division and First. Mikey only showed up because he felt like it and was bored.
Now, the objective during the battle of Valhalla is to make sure, one, Baji lives, two, Kazutora does not die, three, Kisaki is kicked out. Simple plan. Easy to execute.
Now, he needed to make sure he was in shape to fight against Valhalla. The training he had received under his mentor was effective when he could engage in combat, not when he was training against the wall in his backyard and punching a wall. He needed a target. A living breathing target to neutralize. Someone who would be useful as a subordinate. The target is perfect.
The gang that's in conflict with 1st Division of Toman. Yotsuya Kaidan.
The key to winning back Baji Keisuke. The key to Ryusei Sato.
