Alastair had to go to the police station which was in the middle east road, he was too close from that point. He was walking in a quite mode with alot of thoughts in his mind.
Oh, What questions will they ask me? Anyway I would know more about the situation there.
He reached the police station in just fifteen minutes, when he entered it, he saw a alot of people registering and filing report. He had never ever been to a police station before. He asked the local cop about the man who had called Alastair a while ago, his name was jefferson wood. The cop told him to go the second floor at the desk 24 where he would find him.
He reached there in seconds and saw Alex's uncle, he hadn't had talked to Alex's uncle before but he did know about him and how did he look.
He went to the police who's name was jefferson.
Good morning sir, I'm Alastair Beckett, you called me a while ago. Alastair said.
Yeah, sit around here I'm jefferson wood. Here's Alex's uncle, he filed a report of Alex that he had been missing from two days. Jefferson said.
Two days ago? He called me yester night, Alastair told him.
Wait really, he hadn't come home from two days, he told me that he's going to watch football matches with you and will come by today, he wasn't even picking my phone, I thought he's busy. So, Alex is with you oh goddamn why was I worrying. Alex's uncle said to him calmly.
Oh wait, Alex called me yesterday night to come to the park in the middle east road, but when I reached there I found nothing. He wasn't there. Alastair told them.
Can you tell me what did Alex told you in the phone? The police police asked him.
Yes, he called me yesterday day and told me that a man gave him football tickets and he wanted me to meet him in the middle east park in the midnight. Alastair told them
Did you find anything there? The police man asked him.
I have already told you that I have found nothing there. Alastair said he lied to them because he didn't want give the only clue to police he had, his inner thoughts told him not to rely on this fodders.
Uncle became bit tensed about the situation but the police man told him not to worry.
Can I go now? Alastair asked In a gentle manner
Yes, sure but you have to come here whenever I need to ask about the matter. The police man said.
I would cooperate by my heart sir as Alex is my true friend. Alastair said in a sad voice.
He went out of the police station. He first decided to go to his house as his mother was worrying about him. So he started walking, he couldn't took a taxi as he lost his wallet somewhere but not know where. He was tired in exhaustion but his face showed none of that expression. he finally reached his house. He entered the house, it was open. His mother saw him and told him how's everything. Did he and Alex enjoyed the night? He said yes as if he really enjoyed the night. Alastair went to his room and dropped his body to the bed, thinking all the scenario that could have happened. His eyes felt heavy and he slept for a while when he woke up and checked the time it was half past 7. Suddenly his eyes glanced over to a man who was constantly watching his house, It made Alastair suspicious about that man so he quickly made himself out of his house and when he reached the position. he found himself to be alone. he search everywhere but he couldn't find anything, his eyes fell upon a card he took the card in his pocket and he saw there's a something written which he could not understand at first.Alastair pulled out the card from his pocket and examined it closely. It was a business card with the name "Adam Sullivan" printed on it. There was also a phone number and an email address on the card.Alastair couldn't help but wonder why the man had been watching his house. Was he connected to Alex's disappearance? Alastair decided to call the number on the card and find out more. The phone rang a few times before someone picked up.
"Hello?" a man's voice answered.
"Hi, this is Alastair Beckett. I found your card outside my house. I was wondering if you could tell me why you were watching my house," Alastair said.
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before the man spoke again. "I'm sorry, I think you have the wrong person. I don't know anything about watching your house," the man said.
Alastair was skeptical of the man's response. "Then why were you outside my house?" he asked.
"I'm a private investigator, and I was hired to do some surveillance in the area. It's possible that I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time," the man explained.
Alastair wasn't convinced, but he didn't press the matter any further. He ended the call and decided to do some research on Adam Sullivan and his company.
After a few minutes of searching online, Alastair found out that Adam Sullivan was indeed a private investigator. His company had a good reputation and had been hired by many high-profile clients in the past.
Alastair couldn't help but wonder if Alex's family had hired Adam Sullivan to find him. He decided to call Jefferson Wood at the police station and ask him if he knew anything about it.
"Hello, this is Jefferson Wood speaking," the police officer answered.
"Hi, it's Alastair Beckett again. I found a business card outside my house with the name Adam Sullivan on it. Do you know if Alex's family hired him to find him?" Alastair asked.
Jefferson paused for a moment before answering. "I'm not at liberty to discuss the details of an ongoing investigation, but I can tell you that we're exploring all possible leads," he said.
Alastair was frustrated by the vague response, but he understood that the police couldn't reveal too much information.
Feeling exhausted and overwhelmed, Alastair decided to take a break from the investigation for the night. He went to bed with his mind racing, wondering what had happened to his friend Alex and who was behind his disappearance.
