Chereads / Mystic Perception / Chapter 2 - Rudra

Chapter 2 - Rudra

I opened my eyes to a world of darkness. My body felt heavy, and my mind was clouded. It took a few moments for my eyes to adjust, and I found myself lying on the ground, surrounded by rubble and debris. I couldn't remember how I got there or why I was there. All I knew was that my name was Rudra, and I had to find my purpose in this world.

As I stood up and looked around, I realized that I was in the heart of Tokyo. The city was in ruins, and the air was thick with smoke and dust. Buildings were collapsed, and the streets were littered with debris. The only sounds I could hear were distant screams and the occasional explosion.

I felt a sense of urgency, like I had a mission to accomplish. But what was it? I needed answers, and I needed them fast. As I walked through the city, I noticed that I was getting strange looks from the few people I passed. They seemed to sense that I was different, that I didn't belong there.

I decided to take refuge in an abandoned building, hoping to find some clues about what had happened. As I searched through the rubble, I came across a strange object that caught my eye. It was a small charm, shaped like a sword. I felt drawn to it, like it held some sort of significance.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching. I instinctively hid behind a pile of rubble, watching as a group of people entered the building. They were dressed in black and carried weapons. It was clear that they were on a mission.

One of them noticed me and pointed their weapon at me. "Who are you?" they demanded.

"My name is Rudra," I replied calmly.

The person lowered their weapon, studying me for a moment. "Rudra, huh? You're lucky we're not here to deal with you. We're Demon Hunters, and we're here to take care of the demons that have infested this city."

Demons? I had never heard of them before. But as the group of Demon Hunters left the building, I felt a sense of unease. Something told me that I was about to be thrust into a world of danger and mystery.

As I continued my search, I came across another person. She was different from the others I had seen. She had a regal air about her, and she carried herself with confidence. She introduced herself as Suzune, a member of the Demon Hunter Corps. She told me that the city was being overrun by demons, and that they were becoming increasingly more powerful and dangerous.

Suzune explained to me that there were those who possessed unique skills, regalias, and demon techniques. These were the people who were tasked with fighting the demons and protecting the city. As she spoke, I felt a spark of recognition. It was like I had known about these things before, but couldn't quite remember.

Suzune also told me about the Demon Hunter Corps' commander, a man named Kurokawa. She said that he was deeply concerned about the increasing number of D1 demon sightings and had made the decision to take action. It was clear that something big was about to happen.

As I left Suzune and continued my search, I couldn't shake the feeling that I had a role to play in all of this. It was like my destiny was intertwined with the fate of this city. I knew that I had to find out more, to discover the truth about who I was and what I was capable of.

As I walked through the city, I noticed that the demons seemed to avoid me. It was like they

sensed that I was different, like I posed a threat to them. It was then that I remembered the charm I had found earlier. As I held it in my hand, I felt a surge of energy course through my body. It was like the charm was awakening something within me.

I decided to seek out Suzune again, hoping that she could shed some light on what was happening to me. When I found her, I showed her the charm, and her eyes widened in surprise.

"That's a regalia," she said. "It's a weapon used by the gods."

"The gods?" I repeated, confused.

Suzune nodded. "There are gods and goddesses who live among us, and they use regalias to fight the demons. But it's rare for a human to possess one. You must be special, Rudra."

As Suzune spoke, I felt a sense of excitement and fear. I knew that I had a powerful tool at my disposal, but I also knew that with great power came great responsibility. I had to learn how to use the regalia properly and to fight alongside the Demon Hunter Corps.

Over the next few weeks, I trained with Suzune and the other Demon Hunters, learning how to control my regalia and fight the demons. It was a steep learning curve, but I was determined to succeed. As I grew stronger, I also began to learn more about myself and my past.

It turned out that I was not originally from this world. I had been summoned from another realm by a powerful god who needed my help. I was supposed to be a warrior, but when I arrived in this world, my memory was erased. The charm that I had found was my regalia, a powerful weapon that was connected to my past.

As I delved deeper into my past, I also discovered that there were others like me, who had been summoned to this world for a specific purpose. We were the gods' instruments, tasked with protecting this world from the demons that threatened it.

With this newfound knowledge, I felt a sense of clarity and purpose. I knew that I had a role to play in this world, and I was determined to do my part. Together with Suzune and the Demon Hunter Corps, we fought against the demons, pushing them back and protecting the people of Tokyo.

As time passed, I became known as a powerful regalia user, feared and respected by both demons and humans alike. But even as I grew stronger, I never forgot where I came from or the reason why I was summoned to this world. I remained humble and focused, always ready to answer the call of duty.

And so, my awakening in this world led me on a journey of self-discovery and purpose. I found my place among the gods and the Demon Hunter Corps, fighting for the greater good and protecting those who could not protect themselves. And even as the demons continued to threaten this world, I knew that I would always be ready to face them, armed with my regalia and the strength of my convictions.
