Our Captain was not one for the gaieties. He actually shunned these formal affairs. Yet, as a Trinity, he usually has to make his appearances. For one, he was one of the King’s Men and, another, being a Protector which was maybe the biggest reason he attended these gatherings. He was often among those escorting the Iron Flower.
I bit my tongue from saying something inappropriately jealous, but she was truly very beautiful that the Kingdom knows it, and I do envy her for that. I may be a Rogue, but she has Captain Chalice’s full attention always. He was even at her mercy that he left for her side whenever he felt her in danger.
But not to put myself down, I also have many exemplary moments with our Head. Ever since starting campaigns with him, taking on a portion of the Gunnery's roughest workloads, inventing, traveling, discovering...
I have been by his side through it all now that I cannot imagine being anywhere else anymore. Not while he has a need of me.
