"Stand beside me, Idiot." He rudely spat as I walked beside him. My eyes are fixed on the ground. At least, He wants me to stand beside him, not behind. An involuntary smile was formed on my lips. I realized, I always walked beside him wherever we went. I sat on the passenger seat as he drove the car. The weather is cold today. Thanks to the heater of the car, that kept me warm.
We entered the hall. I shivered when the cold breeze hit my body. He scoffed at me as my lips joined themselves in a thin line. We walked inside. Desmond was talking to his business partners and I was talking with their wives.
"Your couple looks so good!" Mrs Ricardo said, referring to us.
"Thanks," I said a sly smile.
"By the way, how'd you guys fall in love," Mrs Ricardo asked again.
"We had an arranged marriage "I replied.
"Then when you fell for him after marriage?" Mrs Smith asked now,
"The moment I say, 'I do.'" I said rather proudly with a smile.
