Victor continued trying to stab me with his spear, relentlessly launching his attacks at me, and all I could do was dodge and evade. Luckily, being born in this world as a teenager, I was more agile in my movements and I felt my body light in this world.
But if all I did was dodge without launching any counterattacks, I felt like I would still lose because even though Victor seemed quite old, he could still move swiftly and showed no signs of fatigue.
Just as I was about to grab a long stick lying near the trees in the field, Victor suddenly paused.
"Oliver Blackwell, you're quite fast," Victor said to me.
I looked at Victor, then he fell silent, and suddenly his spear disappeared without a trace.
"Um, sir? Are you okay? Why did you suddenly attack me? And where did your spear go?"
"Don't worry, I was just testing your physical strength a little. Although during the test, I was very serious about attacking you, HAHAHA," Victor replied while laughing.

I open the door to the bar and see that it's very crowded inside. Still sweating, I immediately head to the second floor and want to take a shower. I enter my room to grab a towel and head straight to the bathroom.
When I finish cleaning myself, I return to my room and see that Victor and Reid are waiting for me.
"What are you two doing in my room?"
"We've been waiting for you to come back, but when you arrived, you went straight upstairs," Reid replied.
"GET OUT OF MY ROOM!"
They both quickly leave my room as I shout at them. I quickly dry myself and put on my clothes. Feeling a bit thirsty, I intend to go downstairs to get a glass of water, but when I open the door to my room, Victor and Reid are still waiting in front of it.
"What do you want, sitting in front of someone's room?" I ask.
"Not everyone down there is our people, and besides, you also want to learn about the powers in this world, right?" Reid said.
"In that case, come in, but I'll be downstairs for a moment. I'm really thirsty."
I went downstairs, had a glass of water, and brought a few bottles of drinks for both of them. Then, I returned to my room, only to find Reid and Victor smoking inside.
"Don't you guys have any manners?" I asked them while handing them the bottles.

Every living being in this world has a magical power called Soul Resonance. Essentially, the human body holds magical power within its soul. However, this power cannot be used directly or sometimes not at all.
The magical power within your soul can be activated when it connects and harmonizes its energy throughout your entire body. By aligning all the energy into your body through the blood vessels, you can attain the magical power known as Soul Resonance.
However, not everyone can control Soul Resonance, and there have been cases where people were disabled or killed due to their inability to harmonize this power. Insufficient physical strength is also a factor in failing to control Soul Resonance.
During this explanation, Victor told me that physical ability is crucial in controlling Soul Resonance because your body acts as a vessel that will contain all the magical power within your soul.
Slowly, I began to understand how the powers in this world work. I started to comprehend how Jennifer could transform her body and how Victor could perceive the powers and auras of others. But what about Victor's ability to teleport, like he did earlier?
He explained that it wasn't teleportation but rather his ability to change the shape of his legs, resembling that of a deer. By altering the shape of his legs and focusing all his energy into them, he could make quick jumps. To ordinary people who cannot use Soul Resonance, it might appear as teleportation, but in reality, it's not.
"Okay, I'm starting to understand how Soul Resonance works, but how do I use it?" I asked both of them.
"I don't know," Reid replied, shrugging his shoulders.
I looked at Victor, and he explained that each person uses Soul Resonance in their own unique way, and there is no definite explanation on how to use it. Victor explained that he has been using it by imagining all the energy within his body and directing it to the point he desires.
However, not everyone can use that method because Soul Resonance and each person's physical abilities are different. In other words, I have to discover on my own how to use it in my own way.
As the day grew later, the two of them went downstairs to socialize with other visitors. I, feeling extremely tired, gradually lost consciousness and fell into a deep sleep.
