Arianna

"Wait here I will catch them." he said moving past me.

It can't happen.

If he catches them, I will be the one who will get exposed. And that is something I can't let happen. I can't let my cover blow.

There will be a huge mess if he catch them.

"No," I went after him, trying to catch him before he could catch them. But before I could catch him.

In my haste, my foot collided with an unforeseen obstacle—a treacherous rock, jutting out from the ground. Time appeared to slow as I stumbled forward, my balance betraying me, threatening to send me cascading towards an undignified fall. It would be the most embarrassing moment in my life.

My heart raced with the fear of falling down, but before gravity could claim its victory, strong arms wrapped around me, pulling me back from the brink of humiliation. It was as if an angel had come to save me. I looked up and my eyes met with an intense gaze.

My heart skipped a beat as I found myself enveloped in his steady embrace, his touch both gentle and firm and I could feel the strength in his arms as he held me up. The sudden closeness overwhelmed my senses, his powerful presence consuming my awareness.

I looked away, as I felt the heat rising to my cheeks, it was a good thing that this alley was dark, and he could not see me in this pathetic blushing state.

As I held on to his arm, it was surprisingly hard. I could feel the muscle under the clothes he wore. I refrained from coping a feel of it. It was not a behavior fit for a princess.

A rush of heat coursed through my veins as I looked up, our eyes meeting once again, this time in a moment that felt intimate, despite the chaos that surrounded us. In that fleeting instance, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of us suspended in time.

I felt a rush of emotions coursing through me - surprise, fear, and maybe even a little bit of excitement.

His grip on me relaxed, but his presence remained steadfast. With a nod of acknowledgment, he released me, allowing me to find my footing once more.

I took a step back, feeling a little bit of disappointment that our brief moment had ended.

Though the imprint of his touch lingered, igniting a feeling in my core that I had never felt.

It might be because he was incredibly handsome.

And there was also the fact that I have no prior experience with any men. It might be the reason for the state I am in.

He tried to go after them again, this time I caught his arm in mine, he turned surprised by the sudden touch. His eyes stared into mine in question.

"Don't go," I said, trying to look like I was afraid.

he nodded a look of concern in his eyes.
