Azure writhed in pain as she held on the arm where the demon had instilled his venomous bite on it.
"Time to leave and proceed with the deal. Retrieve the book and she'll live." The demon's dark voice echoed in their ears before they saw the wall in the other end of the cave partition, making the blinding light from the sun break through till their sights blurred.
"Are you alright?" Zhurong asked her as he supported her with his hands at the small of her back. Her face twisted with a grim expression in pain, but she managed to nod weakly.
He didn't say anymore and with a swift movement, he swept her off her feet and carried her in a bridal style, proceeding toward the partitioned cave wall, but she didn't resist and he stole a glance at the pair of dark silver eyes peering through the hole till he emerged out of the cave.
