Chapter 46 - Episode 14- Round One: The Conclusion

Four students stood in the arena staring at each other. The battles had just begun so they were getting ready to start fighting. One of the teams was the Phoenix Squad Shito Mahinu and Tenka Vermillion. The other two students were a part of the Reindeer squad.

"You two are the said best students in your class, right?" the male student asked. Everyone in the school knew of the two of them since most of them watched their battle. "We are going to beat you right now, so we can shut down those rumors of you two being the up-and-coming students."

All around the school the two of them were popular, and even with the teachers. The two of them were classified as geniuses that would come once every thousand years, not only were they smart they have but their magic was levels above the other students.

There were not many people like the two of them in the entire world. Shito was still one of the strongest people in the world while having his power sealed. Tenka was another strong person who resided in the world. While she was not as strong as her daughters via Mirror World, she could paint the world in any color she wanted.

All the students in the school really had no chance against them including the members of the student TAA class. They were going to play around with the students in the tournament for a little bit.

"Well, do your best to try and bring yourselves up… not like that is going to matter anyways." He looked over at Tenka who was standing quietly beside him.

Quietly looking at him, Tenka smiled calmly nodding her head. She didn't really care about anything the team was talking about since they did not have the strength to harm them. After all, Tenka had an ice ability that she could use that protects her like a shield, and after unlocking the unknown power all her abilities were amplified by a dramatic amount.

She walked closer to him and grabbed him by his shirt. Her mouth was shut tightly and not a single sound was coming from the girl—the grip on his started to get heavier. There was no feeling inside Tenka's heart other than the longing feelings of her wanting to see her daughters.

The brief time she spent with the girls was some of the best moments of her life. Having a place to call home and having people waiting for her was the best thing she could ask for.

Tenka had both of her parents in her life, but she didn't get to spend most of her time with them because of all the work they had to do… after all, they were the master and mistress of the Vermillion family.

Being determined to give her daughters everything was the only thing she wanted most in the world. She didn't want to fight all the time anymore because she had a family to call her own. Daughters that she could be with for the rest of her life.

"I-I… just want to go home. I miss my daughters." Tenka was saddened to be apart from her daughters. It was nothing more than making lots of memories with them while she still had the chance. "I just want to make the most memories with them as I can."

Shito lifted his hand in the air, and mana rapidly flooded the arena. Heavy wind breezes were blowing around. He was using wind magic to control the wind.

"Wind typhoon."

He was using one of the most basic wind spells. They were taking part in duels for the school so killing the other students were not allowed.

Even though he said that he was going to play around with the other students, he was not going to keep playing around anymore. Shito could feel the sadness coming from her voice. He felt that everything was his fault because he didn't tell her that she was immortal like the rest of them so spending time together was not going to be hard for them.

With his spell finished charging up, he released the wind, and gusts of wind blew the two students out of the arena.

The two students didn't have the strength to resist the wind gusts. So, the only thing they could do was try and take the hit and that failed.

With that, their first battle ended. It was their win. It was a battle that didn't even pass the five-minute mark. A swift battle that ended in a couple of seconds.

"Let's go and meet our daughters."

Shito snapped his fingers before Tenka could get a single word out of her mouth, teleporting them to the room their daughters were sitting in.

Once they arrived, the two little girls jumped into their parents' arms.

"Welcome back, Mama and Papa!"

Snapping his fingers once again, Shito teleported both of his daughters and Tenka back to their dorm room. He stayed behind and looked at all the mages that were present in the room. His sister was still in the room, and he wanted to talk to her.

But all the mages were present in the room, and he didn't want them to hear anything that he was about to tell his sister. After all, the mages wouldn't be able to come into the room and would just ask too many questions from not being able to understand what he was saying.

"Soundproof barrier."

Those words were enough to place a barrier around him and his sister. No sound could leave the barrier and no sound could come inside the barrier. So, everything that they were going to talk about was private.

Sara stood up out of her seat and slowly walked in front of her brother. She knew that he wanted to talk about something important because of the way he placed a barrier around them.

"What do you want to talk about little brother?"

Hearing that question, Shito looked up with a puzzled expression. He wanted to ask the question that was on his mind.

Sara was shocked to see her brother like this. Knowing that he didn't ever worry himself about anything. For that reason, she didn't know what he was going to say to her.

"Do you think I should tell Tenka that she is immortal?"

Sara sighed. She was glad that nothing serious was going on, so she looked at her brother seriously.

"Do what makes you feel happy brother… I know you like that girl very much and you are willing to tell her some of your secrets. So do what makes you feel happy."

Shito smiled and walked closer to his sister, putting his hands on her shoulder. He was genuinely happy to have a sister like her. Not only was she there for him most of their childhood, but she still took care of him even when he grew older. That was a sister that everyone would ask for.

"Thank you for everything that you have done for me."

The words that he spoke came from the heart. Although his face was expressionless, his words had some warmth in them. His sister was one of the only people that willingly took care of him even when she was still a teenager. She never had any thoughts of abandoning him.

Coming to a sudden realization, Sara grabbed her brother's hand and looked him in the eyes. She was suddenly thinking about her niece Illayaka, she wanted to know where exactly she popped up from.

"Where did that little girl, Illayaka, come from?"

"She is my daughter. Of course, she came from my ballsac—"

"Nope, I don't want to hear it anymore!" Sara quickly interrupted. She knew exactly what he was going to say. "I don't want to hear anything that is related to your ballsack. So, there is no need for you to answer my question anymore!"

"Bye, big sister," Shito said, turning his body around. He was about to head to go have a talk with his family. Deep down he knew that he had to break the news to them eventually.

"Wait, do you not want to speak with the other mages?" she asked curiously.

In response to her question, he shook his head before saying. "No… I have a family to get back to. So, staying any longer would not be an option. Make sure you come and visit me someday. I and the others would make sure you feel at home, don't forget you are a part of the family."

Those were the last words he said before he disappeared into thin air. It was like he was a ghost. Everything he did was with his pure speed. No mana was being used by him and no ki was being used either. He disappeared, heading back to his room.

Sara let out a deep sigh before taking a single step. The barrier was still around her because her brother forgot to take it down.

Shito was so fast that he bypassed the effects of the barrier that was placed around them. He was one million times faster than the speed of light. And at the speeds he was moving, he was fast enough to move a finite distance in a couple of seconds.

With a single step, the barrier completely collapsed, and she walked out smiling happily. Completely happy with the conversation she had with her brother. The words that replied in her mind were 'thank you'.

Of course, that would be the only thing that was replying in her head because her brother was not one to go around thanking people.

Have fun with our new family brother. They are my nieces and Tenka is my sister-in-law so that makes us one happy family. I'm going to be there sooner or later to have some fun with our family.

Thus, this was the conclusion of the first day of the battles. Team Phoenix instantly crushed their opponents in their battle.
