My heart is heavy with despair. It has been thirty-one long hours since Trisha vanished without a trace. The moment I realized that she had been taken by the vampires, I rushed home.
My packmates were in a state of panic as well. Felix and Kingston quickly gathered a few of our men and set off to track down the vampires at the trespassing area where we had last encountered them.
As for me, I prepared to follow Trisha's trail. But before I could leave, I had to inform my pack of my absence. They are my responsibility, just as Trisha is. And the thought that I had failed her so miserably weighed heavily on my mind.
I couldn't risk shifting into my wolf form right now. I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to control Akela and that I would go feral. So instead, I opted to take the car. As I was about to speed up, a figure suddenly jumped into the seat beside me.
I turned my head to look at her and growled, "What are you doing here?"
