I COULD DO NOTHING BUT WATCH
The therapist frantically called for an ambulance, he could do nothing as he was not a doctor but a therapist but watched as Jack desperately clinged to his sister's hand as he was telling her to be strong but the poor girl was bleeding from her mouth.
The ambulance arrived within minutes, and the paramedics began working on Debbie as they raced to the hospital. Jack and the therapist were frantically pacing outside of the ER, praying for Debbie to pull through. It felt like an eternity before a doctor finally came out to speak with them.
The news was grim. The poison that Debbie had ingested was extremely toxic, and it had already started to shut down her organs. There was nothing the doctors could do to save her. Jack felt like the world was falling apart around him. How could this happen? How could his sister be gone so suddenly?
Over the next few days, the family was in a state of shock and disbelief. Jack found the suicide note that Debbie had left behind, and the words shattered his hearts. He showed the note to his family, He had no idea that she was struggling so much, and they felt guilt, anger, and sadness all at once.
In the weeks that followed, Jack and his family went through the motions of arranging her funeral and trying to process their grief. They talked to people reached out to friends and family for support. Slowly, they started to move forward, even though they knew that they would never truly get over Debbie's death.
For Jack, the tragedy ignited a deep sense of anger and injustice. He felt like his sister had been failed by the people in her life. Why didn't anyone notice how much she was struggling? Why didn't they do more to help her? These questions plagued him constantly, he felt guilty. He knew it was Camily words that made her commit suicide, if Camily hasn't said those words, Debbie would have lived.
Jack cried his heart out as he remembered her smiles and their moments together, she was his favorite sibling and he couldn't believe she was gone. He was angry at his father, for being a mafia boss, he was angry at mother for silently supporting her husband, he was angry at Camily for speaking those hurtful words to Debbie, he was angry at Roberto for not caring at all.
he was angry at himself for watching her died without doing anything but watching as she groaned away in pain, he couldn't bear the anger anymore, he went into the house and started scattering everything in the house, even when his mother walked in, he didn't stop his rampage.
