Chapter 30 - SURVIVING

After successfully evading Tenzin, they found themselves deep within a forest, surrounded by the embrace of the woods.

The evening sunlight streamed through the leaves, casting enchanting patterns upon the forest floor. However, Rudra's condition was deteriorating rapidly; he teetered on the brink of collapse.

Despite his struggle, he managed to muster the strength to keep himself upright, although his endurance was waning.

Arun totally astonished to experience this phenomenon again, while he almost on his knees he expressed his thought "Where in the world, Rudra you brought us"

"Don't know, just help me here man!"

"Let me see, I think I know where we are"

Arun carefully looked around, hoping to find someone who could help them. But as time went on, he struggled to figure out where exactly they were in the forest. The real danger, though, lay back in the city. If he and Rudra were caught, it seemed likely that they wouldn't get a chance to explain their side of the story.

Arun couldn't take the risk of revealing who he was because by now, everyone in the city knew about them. In fact, a search was already underway to find both Arun and Rudra, making their situation even more precarious.

As night rapidly approached, Arun found himself in a precarious situation. Not only did he have to worry about his own well-being, but he also bore the weight of responsibility for Rudra

Arun was acutely aware of the pressing need to locate a secure place. Unfortunately, he faced the harsh reality that he had no destination in mind where they could find shelter.

The situation was further intensified as Rudra lost consciousness, adding an additional layer of turmoil to the already chaotic circumstances.

While his phone was still on and in working condition he need to ask help, sadly no one's coming in his mind that can help him in this condition even though every other person in this city are hunger to catch him and Rudra at any coast.

Realizing that calling for help would be futile, Arun abandoned the idea. With Rudra already unconscious and his condition deteriorating, urgency gripped Arun.

He understood the pressing need to take action swiftly; remaining in their current location was not an option. After carefully surveying the surroundings, Arun ingeniously concealed Rudra's body beneath a layer of leaves and bushes, shielded from prying eyes.

To conserve his phone's battery and minimize the risk of being tracked, Arun made the decision to power it off. This precaution was crucial to preserve any means of communication he might need later.

To find an escape or some supplies, Arun moved on toward west in the direction of less densely forest area . He kept walking while looking back and front

After 17 minute and 34 second.

Leaving Rudra safely hidden just a short distance away, Arun set out to find supplies. To his luck, he discovered an old, fragile warehouse a mere few meters from where he had left Rudra.

The building seemed on the verge of crumbling, its weathered appearance telling a story of age and neglect.

Taking careful steps, Arun ventured inside the timeworn structure. Within its worn walls, he stumbled upon a small but valuable find: a table held painkillers, while a cluster of water bottles sat nearby.

Other than these essentials, the warehouse yielded little of use. As he gathered the painkillers and water, returned for Rudra

When Arun came back, he found Rudra's missing, he franticly looked around here and there but he was gone. However, his blood trails on the ground can easily be detected.

Without wasting any further moment Arun beings to follow it. Arun knows that in this condition he wasn't able to drag himself for long. He had be somewhere close.

In the direction of east, the blood trails are showing the way, it means that Rudra's been heading toward somewhere, it seems he headed for least densely populated forest, Rudra's physical condition shows he haven't been gone to far

He headed and he kept moving further and further toward east and after couple of minutes he finally able to find Rudra.

He can see him, it's already dark but the moonlight have still illuminated the surrounds creating a breathtakingly scene to capture but for Arun he have no time for that , Rudra is sitting beside a tree.

"You all right? Rudra! Can you listen me?"

"Who?" Rudra's vision gone blurry

"It's me Arun, I told you to stay there I will be back in few mintues, why you move from there look at you"

"I thought you won't come, and it's over me Arun I don't think I'll make it , it's okay you go and you should head for my master he'll show you the way you don't have much time left"

"It's just a fever and nothing else, here take this painkiller, And some water you'll be fine just take this and rest for now and then we'll move on"

After giving the painkiller, Rudra falls sleep and Arun haven't eaten from whole day all he was able to retrieve those painkillers from the warehouse he's been.

Time's running out for both of them and Rudra need quick medical attention, while keeping Rudra hidden and safe, Arun left again and this time he wants to make a call

And the only person was coming in his mind Doctor Lavanya. His phone was not able to get network enough to make call, but still Arun persistently making call from the very start, however the phone's battery is very low and it's a matter of time when it's going to be dead.

"What do you think? He'll find us again" Arun asked firmly

"I don't think so, but soon he'll able to locate our position and this time he will take you with him, willingly or forcefully" Rudra, in severe pain he explain the full scale of situation and what option does Arun left with

"Well, let's see what happens but right now I need you to take in custody" Arun resolute on his word to capture him at any cost

"Seriously man! I mean look at us, look at me can't you see how much I have suffered because of you, at least show some decency here!"

"You fucked my life and you are expecting decency, fuck you!"

"Well fuck you too!"

Amidst the quiet of the forest, a jarring wail shattered the air — sirens from the nearby highway announced the presence of police on a determined search. Arun and Rudra's senses were instantly on high alert.

The urgency of the situation was unmistakable, as they realized that Department's on high alert and wiping the vicinity in a relentless pursuit of their whereabouts.

Arun's initial shock swiftly transformed into a surge of strategic thinking. He instinctively guided both himself and Rudra behind the reassuring cover of a sturdy tree.

"Are you hearing those sound Arun, that for you, You think they will believe you whatever story you'll say, forget it man, there's no coming back ,the only option you left is to follow me"

"Shut up! Or I will kill you right now"

"Oh look our crybaby, I think you have jus did shit in your pant Arun" Rudra laughs strongly making fun of him while Arun gaze have fixed on the highway to monitor it properly so they can escape

He can't go anywhere, neither his home or even a hospital. Every corner of the city have been continuously being in surveillance and it's the matter of time before someone sees them.

"So Arun what we do now, I mean it depends on you we can walk away form all of this come with me and no one going follow you"

Ignoring Rudra's condition, Arun's focus remained on survival. As police vans parked nearby, checking someone they had caught, Arun and Rudra hid in the woods, waiting for the right moment to flee. Arun sensed the danger ahead and sought a shortcut to avoid capture.

Looking at Rudra, he asked with hope, "Can you still use your powers?"

Rudra's response was filled with helplessness, "Look at me. Do you really think I can use my powers? I can barely heal myself."

"I think they've stopped someone, they are not on us," Arun whispered. Two police cars and another car were parked as officers talked. Arun noticed from a distance.

"Stay quiet, they're close," Arun warned softly.

Rudra sounded stubborn, "You should worry about yourself, not me."

Arun's impatience grew, "Just stay quiet, please."

"Okay, whatever you say, officer," Rudra replied, his tone sarcastic.

Couple of minutes later, when the one's car been stopped have got the permission to move on, both police cars are ready to depart, Arun sensed deep relief and now they can move onward. While hoping what everything would turn out for good, in the sudden moment things changed. Among all of them, one of the officer suddenly turn his face toward Arun, guarding other officer to be on alert.
