~ The next day ~
After breakfast, Jenna informed her parents and grandfather that she was leaving for Planora. She didn't intend to leave for Hentritch, immediately she arrived Planora.
Grandfather Gordon also encouraged her to take her time.
He was also leaving for his Mansion that morning, he didn't intend to stay even till noon. His Butler, Shepherds, had travelled to Fortbridge for a family emergency so grandfather Gordon could not spend much time out of his nest. He didn't feel uncomfortable in his son's house, but his son was a family man, so grandfather Gordon didn't dim it fit to extend his stay. He only visited because he felt the need to put some issues behind his family. But the issue between both of his grandchildren, fueled his impromptu visit.
All being said and done, Jenna left for Planora, together with her grandfather. They parted ways when she left for the hangar which was close to the general aviation, since she was using her father's private jet this time.
~ Planora ~
" Welcome home Jenny" Morticia greeted with a welcoming smile and an embrace, which Jenna returned.
" Thanks Ticy.'' Jenna said as they pulled out of the hug.
" I hope everything went well?" Morticia asked, helping Jenna with her luggage, since they were still at the door.
" It's a long story you see. But yeah, everything is fine now. I'm sorry that you couldn't keep in touch with me or anyone else. It wasn't deliberate, I was too distracted to have a lot of things in my line of thoughts.'' Jenna said before she sighed.
'' Oh no, Jenna. Don't apologise, you've done a lot for me, more than enough even." Morticia said, while the pair made their way to the sofa for Jenna to sit before leaving for her room to release the stress.
" Thanks for being so understanding." Jenna said.
" I should be saying thank you instead Jen." Morticia replied.
" There's something I need to tell you Morticia. I don't want to feel I took a decision on your behalf or anything like that, but I don't know how best to say it to you but.... I'll be resettling in Hentritch in a matter of days." said Jenna who was looking at Morticia.
It wasn't her response she was waiting on, it was her reaction, the reflection of the emotions on her face, that was what Jenna wanted to see.
Well, it was a hybrid of surprise and curiosity.
" Oh... That's great Jenna. But you didn't have that in mind initially, did you?" Morticia asked after she sat up straight.
" Well, I intended to do that before now cause a lot has happened and I felt I needed to settle in a new city for some fresh air. Although it wasn't my plan do that so soon, but I had a change of heart, especially since I and my parents reconciled." Jenna said with a smile.
" You did?" Asked Morticia with a smile.
" Mm hmm, you wouldn't believe what led to it."
" What?" Morticia asked curiously.
Then Jenna did well to fill her in on every single detail, except for the part where she asked her parents and grandfather if Morticia could come with her. She saved that for later.
" Wow. I'm so happy for you Jen. You see, I told you it was all a misunderstanding." Morticia said with wide smile. She was genuinely glad Jenna was on the same page with her parents. No child deserved to suffer emotionally because of his or her parent.
" Yeah. I'm thankful you did Ticy." replied Jenna with a smile.
" I hope you all grow even closer. And I hope your bond strengthens even further, really Jenny, I really do. You are an amazing person and you really deserve the best." Morticia added, patting Jenna's hands.
" Thanks." Jenna replied.
After a while, Jenna cleared her throat before speaking up,
" Umm, so,...umm I was thinking, since it doesn't seem you've got a place to go for now, I don't know... maybe you might love to come with me." Jenna said, again, fixing her sharp gaze on Morticia who was speechless. " After all, you have more reasons to leave this city than I do." Jenna added.
" Umm..Jenna I_"
" Listen Morticia, you don't have to feel I'm doing too much or anything. I understand you might feel uncomfortable, but please I'd suggest you don't. It's gonna be like it is here. I'm not staying with my parents anymore so you don't have to worry." Jenna said at a go. During the few moments she spent Morticia, she understood she might feel like a burden, but she was definitely not.
" But, how do you I get to repay you then? What do I say to you? I don't... I don't.. Jenna you've done too much for me. I can't be a burden to you any further."
" But you're not."
" You don't know that..."
" Were you a hookup girl in Hentritch? Or is there something else you're not telling me? I only offered you an opportunity to move in with me to a new city, not eat mayonnaise and ketchup. Listen, if you refuse my offer because of petty reasons" Jenna said adjusting her sitting position " I'll assume you had a... history in Hen town." Jenna said, wiggling her brows insinuating something else. Something which forced Morticia's eyes to widen in defense, while she shook her head.
Jenna smirked before she folded her arms.
There were different approaches to different situations and different people. For a person like Morticia, it was a sort of, blackmail.
Morticia seemed to react quickly whenever she associated her with anything that had to do with sex.
The first instance was at the hospital [Chapter 5], and a couple others, for the few times they talked.
She couldn't wait to see her get romantically involved with a guy, a preponderant guy, Jenna hoped with a mischievous grin.
" Stop smiling like that." Morticia said with colored cheeks.
" Why? Isn't that it?"
" No! Of course not!" Morticia said in her defense, almost immediately.
" So, you shouldn't have an issue with my offer."
" It's not that easy Jenna." said Morticia.
" Oh, don't worry about your flight ticket. That's not an issue, besides, we'd be making use of my dad's private airplane." Jenna said with a shrug after all, they were flying within the borders of Cilevile, so there was no need for flight tickets or anything of that sort. But Morticia's eyes widened at Jenna's unintentional revelation.
'' Your dad has a private jet?" asked Morticia.
" Oh that. Yeah he does.... I guess." Jenna replied.
" You guess?"
" Yeah. He does. Just forget about that." Jenna said, waving that aside.
The truth was, her mother Evelyn, got it for Sampson as a gift for father's day after she was born. But that was such unnecessary information.
" So, what do you say? Yay or Yes?" Jenna asked.
" Jen_"
" It's Yay or Yes? not Jenna." she asked again.
" But_"
" But what Ticy? Don't you wanna explore a different path?"
" Jenna I do. I also want to leave this city before it costs my life, but I'm tired of being a burden to you. And what about your parents? I don't want them to think the worse of me. It's obvious they're very rich and I_"
" You don't have to worry about that. I already discussed with my parents about that and they were okay with it." Jenna countered. " And I didn't assure them you'll be coming along with me" Jenna added immediately, seeing the glare Morticia shot at her.
" So tell me, are you coming with me? Yes or No Morticia. That's just what I need to know." said Jenna with a serious look.
Exhaling deeply through her lips, Morticia replied;
" Yes."
