Delaney brought Merikh to some part of the forest where all they could see were trees and grassland. Their walk to the forest was quiet and the only sound was the rustling of dry leaves or branches on the ground.
This was where Malcolm had taught Delaney how to hunt and she always knew that there would always be an antelope or a wild rabbit somewhere.
Merikh was looking around the forest when he suddenly bumped into Delaney's back, almost knocking her down but quickly wrapped his hand around her waist to prevent her from falling.
"You can't even watch where you're going," Delaney quipped as she regained her balance and forcefully pushed his hand away.
She then prepared her bow and arrow, aiming at a clearing where she knew something would appear eventually.
"Do you—"
"Shhhh." She hissed, cutting him off before he could say anything.
