Chapter 1: Arrival
The Stargate activated with a whooshing sound and a splash of blue light as a team of explorers stepped through the portal. They had been traveling for months through the vastness of space, searching for new worlds to explore and allies to help in their fight against the Wraith.
Leading the team was Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard, a seasoned Air Force pilot and skilled warrior. He surveyed the new world they had arrived on, his eyes taking in the unfamiliar sights and sounds. He turned to his team and said, "Alright, people, let's get to work. We don't know what we're up against, so stay sharp and be ready for anything."
The team consisted of Teyla Emmagan, a skilled Athosian warrior and diplomat, Ronon Dex, a fierce Satedan warrior with a penchant for big guns, and Dr. Rodney McKay, a brilliant but irritable astrophysicist and engineer.
As they made their way through the dense forest, they encountered a group of friendly aliens who greeted them warmly. Through Teyla's translation, they learned that the aliens were from a nearby village and had been expecting them. The villagers had received a message from a group of travelers who had passed through the Stargate before, warning them of the Wraith threat and advising them to seek out the Atlantis expedition for help.
The team was relieved to find allies so quickly, but they knew that the Wraith would not be far behind. They quickly set to work, helping the villagers fortify their defenses and preparing for a possible attack.
As the sun began to set, John gathered the team and the villagers for a strategy meeting. "We need to be ready for anything," he said. "The Wraith could attack at any moment, so we need to be prepared to defend ourselves and the villagers."
Rodney spoke up, "We could use some of the local resources to build some new weapons and defenses. I'm sure I could rig up something with some of this plant matter."
Ronon nodded in agreement, "I'll help you gather what you need."
Teyla added, "I will help the villagers prepare their defenses and train them in combat."
With a plan in place, the team set to work, determined to protect their new allies and stop the Wraith threat.
