It is like fate to throw the unexpected. For Tammy, she finds her current situation, very baffling. The man she deems dead is now alive and well. Tammy's illusion and tracking magic are her specialty.
As a third-party partner for Benevolence, she is considerably among the few big bad villains of this world. However, now, she has to die at Hans's hands. Her existence alone, and her knowing of Hans is worth a great deal of trouble for the slightly schizophrenic paranoid author from another world.
Helpless, Tammy can only succumb to Hans's magic as she finds herself incapable of her strongest illusion magic in the mirror realm.
"You shouldn't do this… Mira will be sad…" She sweetly says to Hans, trying to eke whatever remains of the positive impression she has, yet her words are ineffective as a dangerously rotating magic bullet coming from a 5th circle mana heart pierces her limbs.
In this world, the power of magic changes according to either of the two— technique and foundation. Magic has levels from basic, intermediate, and master, and this pertains to technique. However, the foundation is very different as unlike technique, it doesn't require 'proficiency' but simply an accumulation of energy, and this pertains to the mana heart.
The magic bullets seemingly basic are completely brutal, and even disregarding the technique, Hans's impression of guns and bullets supersedes the normal damage adding the double Geass to the formula, he is literally an unchallengeable existence.
Despite this, his ambition remains lackluster.
"Murder is so easy in this world, huh?"
The woman, Tammy Aurelius, who should be one of the biggest villains that will appear in the future is now dead. She is like a beehive full of sieves. The power of the magic bullets must come as a surprise to her 'guns' in this world don't exist.
At first, Hans doesn't really care about Tammy being a villain and even the development of his 'relationship' with the heroine. Though being involved in the plot of Fate is concerning, Hans is someone who takes his priorities seriously, especially on account of the possibility that he has gone crazy.
There is no way in hell he will not feel pressure on suddenly being in this world.
Considering himself as an alien existence, he generously decides to remove himself as soon as possible. Thanks to the wand he pilfers from the graves, and the overpowered pill he stole from a cult alchemist hiding in his school, Hans's plans for a reclusive future have come to fruition.
With a single flick of the wand, he removes himself from the mirror realm. Once he returns to reality, he flicks his wands again, teleporting around the world while under the 'I Am Not Here' spell. Of course, Hans did not forget to pick up his Abyssinian Cat.
Hans doesn't have a particular destination in mind. He will like to defend himself and say 'Plans are for pussies', but even as the author of Love and Magic, he cannot precisely teleport himself to a specific place where he can hole up, so with a little bit of luck, Hans tries to see if he finds a familiar place for him to live the rest of his days.
And it seems, his luck is finally turning around.
He no longer desires to experience the same desperation and while it is contusive for him to desire strength despite not wanting it, and deploring involving himself intimately in the world, Hans has to find his place in the new world by himself.
Hans tumbles down on the road, planting his face on shit as he finds himself losing balance. The 5th circle in his heart forcibly amplified by illegal drugs declines in a frightening manner until it subsides to the 3rd circle. The drug is too destructive to the point it has become defective in the sense that Hans can no longer advance his mana heart.
In front of Hans is a decrepit old mansion amidst a densely populated city. The reason why Hans is feeling lucky is because of the airship with big labels on its tail that say 'Welcome to City Z', the only city Hans never had the chance to write about.
For Hans, unknown means good, because this way, he will not meet any characters from his novel, thus removing himself from the plot as far as possible.
Plenty may argue, Hans's actions are pure idiocy, but he digresses. For him, only being selfish is the right way. For all they know, his very existence might serve as too harmful to this world like a ticking time bomb or a singularity ought to embrace destined destruction by ushering storm of probabilities— all that said and done, this might also be made-up things without any substance.
But as a romanticist especially when it comes to the realm of fiction, Hans believes all of this to be sensible. Hans is not being a martyr either thinking of his actions as just and a result of his goodwill to this world with his lack of ambition.
While other protagonist-kind of characters are busy building their harem, gaining more strength, and leaving their mark on history, Hans considers himself an extra unfortunately being bullied by fate. If not fate, maybe some random god, or like how he usually entertains the thought of his existence, maybe he is just dreaming.
Trippy, but not cool.
Hans will rather live the way he prefers it to be.
So single-minded and not bothering the shit on his face, he explores the unmentioned City Z from the novel with a magic bag on his shoulder. With his 3rd circle magic heart, he is more than capable to protect himself in the bare minimum.
"This is good, I have finally come to reconcile with my situation…"
Hans threads the dangerous alleyways of City Z, searching for an apartment of his liking. Dragging a confused cat by its nape, he makes steady progress on learning about the city just via his observation alone. Because of looking like a clueless bumpkin, he is most often the target of crimes, yet he easily and favorably confronts them with his honeyed tongue which is literally where his magic lies in the form of Geass. And with his right eye, he avoids those he deems more troublesome.
An apartment just beside a brothel catches his eye. This is the perfect place. After kissing his cat, he'd just wait for a hooker passing by and give them compliments.
Meeting up with the landlord is a cinch, it is the negotiation that is the problem. With intense haggling over the price, Hans succumbs to defeat as he fetidly and reluctantly accepts the term of the contract.
After getting a quick shower, Hans set up his cat and magic bag aside thinking of his current situation as perfect. Meeting the Heroine and living with her for a short year, he learns the trouble that being in the spotlight can bring.
Lying on the cold floor, Hans falls asleep thinking of what furniture to buy in this godforsaken City Z.
