Chereads / Prison Break / Chapter 2 - Escape night

Chapter 2 - Escape night

The Fox River Eight had their plan, and they had their team. The next step was to gather the supplies they needed to execute their escape. Michael had been working in the prison's infirmary, and he had been stealing supplies for weeks.

He had everything they needed: maps, blueprints, tools, and weapons. They had even managed to get their hands on a prison guard's uniform. They were ready.

Michael had also been studying the routines of the prison guards. He knew exactly when they would be patrolling and when they would be taking breaks. They would have a small window of opportunity to make their escape.

The night of the escape, the Fox River Eight gathered in the prison yard. Michael and Lincoln led the group, and they made their way to the infirmary, where they had stashed their supplies. They put on their prison guard uniforms and headed towards the exit.

The guards didn't suspect a thing. They waved them through the gate, thinking they were just making their rounds. The Fox River Eight made their way to the maintenance tunnel, where Michael had been working for the past few months.

They crawled through the dark, cramped tunnel, feeling their way along the walls. They could hear the guards' footsteps above them, but they were too far away to see them.

Finally, they reached the end of the tunnel. Michael pulled out a small saw and began cutting through the metal grate. It took longer than they had anticipated, and they could hear the guards getting closer.

Finally, the grate gave way, and the Fox River Eight climbed out of the tunnel and into the night air. They had made it outside the prison walls.

They ran through the woods, trying to put as much distance between themselves and the prison as possible. They knew they had to move quickly. The guards would soon realize that they were missing and would be hot on their trail.

As they ran, Michael felt a sense of exhilaration. He had done it. He had broken out of Fox River. He felt like he could do anything.

But he knew that their escape was far from over. They still had a long way to go before they were truly free. They needed to find a way to disappear and start new lives. They needed to find a way to prove their innocence.

Michael and the Fox River Eight had escaped from prison, but their journey had just begun.
