Chapter 9 - Next

Ryker was walking, feeling more confident and at peace with himself. He had taken Kakashi's advice and had been working on improving himself, both physically and mentally. As he walked, he saw three familiar figures in the distance. It was Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki.

"Hey, Ryker!" Boruto shouted, waving at him.

Ryker smiled and walked over to them. "Hey, guys. What are you doing here?"

"We're on a mission," Sarada replied. "What about you? Where are you headed?"

"I'm just traveling," Ryker answered. "Trying to find new experiences and improve myself."

"That's a great goal," Mitsuki said. "We should all strive to improve ourselves."

"I agree," Ryker said, nodding. "So, what's your mission about?"

Boruto grinned, "We're looking for a rare flower that only blooms once a year. It's said to have healing properties, and we need it for a mission."

"That sounds like a challenging mission," Ryker commented.

"It is," Sarada said, crossing her arms. "But we're up for the challenge."

Ryker smiled, "I'm sure you guys will find it. You're all skilled ninja."

They talked for a while longer, exchanging stories about their missions and experiences. Ryker found himself enjoying their company and felt grateful for the chance encounter.

As they were about to part ways, Boruto asked, "Hey, Ryker, do you want to come with us?"

Ryker hesitated for a moment. He had been traveling alone for a while now and enjoyed the solitude, but he also craved the company of others. Plus, he was curious about their mission and wanted to help if he could.

"I would love to," Ryker said finally.

"Great!" Boruto exclaimed. "The more, the merrier!"

They continued their journey, chatting and laughing along the way. Ryker found himself feeling more at home with them than he had with anyone else in a while.

As they arrived at their destination, they began their search for the rare flower. It wasn't long before they found it, but they were met with a group of bandits who also wanted the flower.

"Looks like we've got some competition," Sarada said, unsheathing her katana.

The bandits were skilled fighters, but with Ryker's help, they were able to defeat them and retrieve the flower.

"That was intense," Ryker said, breathing heavily.

"It was, but we did it," Boruto said, grinning.

Sarada nodded, "And we couldn't have done it without your help, Ryker."

Ryker felt a sense of pride swell inside him. He had helped his new friends, and they had all succeeded together.

As they parted ways once again, Ryker felt grateful for the chance encounter. He had made new friends and had helped them on their mission. And most importantly, he had realized that he didn't have to travel alone anymore. With friends like Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki by his side, he knew that anything was possible.

As he continued on his journey, Ryker knew that he had found a new purpose. He was going to keep traveling, but this time, with his new friends by his side. Together, they would continue to improve themselves and take on new challenges.

The next day,

Ryker and his team listened intently as the Hokage briefed them on their next mission. It was a simple task, deliver a package to the Kazekage of the Sand Village. But the Hokage warned them that they might encounter trouble along the way.

"You must be vigilant and cautious. And most importantly, protect the package at all costs," the Hokage said sternly.

Ryker nodded, "Don't worry, Hokage-sama. We won't let you down."

The Hokage smiled, "I know you won't. And with Kakashi-sensei by your side, I have no doubt that you will succeed."

Kakashi nodded, "We'll make sure the package reaches its destination safely, Hokage-sama."

The Hokage handed Ryker a small package, "Take this. It's the package you need to deliver to the Kazekage."

Ryker took the package and examined it. It was wrapped in brown paper and tied with a red ribbon.

"We'll leave right away, Hokage-sama," Ryker said.

As they walked out of the Hokage's office, Ryker couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. This was their first mission as a team, and he was eager to prove themselves.

As they walked towards the gates of the village, they bumped into three familiar faces - Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki.

"Hey, Ryker! What are you guys up to?" Boruto asked with a grin.

"We have a mission to deliver a package to the Kazekage," Ryker replied, showing them the package.

Sarada looked at the package curiously, "What's inside?"

Ryker shook his head, "We don't know. We were just given the task to deliver it."

Mitsuki spoke up, "Well, be careful. The Sand Village can be dangerous."

Kakashi nodded, "Thank you, Mitsuki. We'll be sure to keep that in mind."

As they parted ways, Ryker couldn't help but wonder if they would encounter any trouble along the way. But he pushed the thought aside and focused on the task at hand.

They traveled for days, crossing deserts and forests until they finally reached the gates of the Sand Village. As they approached the gate, they were stopped by the guards.

"What is your business in the Sand Village?" one of the guards asked sternly.

"We have a package to deliver to the Kazekage," Ryker said, holding up the package.

The guard examined the package carefully before nodding, "Very well. Follow me."

They were led through the winding streets of the Sand Village until they finally arrived at the Kazekage's palace. They were greeted by an aide who led them to the Kazekage's throne room.

The Kazekage, a middle-aged man with a stern expression, sat on his throne. He looked at Ryker and his team, "What brings you to the Sand Village?"

"We have a package to deliver to you, Kazekage-sama," Ryker said, holding up the package.

The Kazekage took the package from Ryker and examined it carefully. After a few moments, he opened it and revealed a scroll.

"Ah, I see. This is an important document," the Kazekage said, looking at Ryker. "Thank you for delivering this to me. You have done a great service to the Sand Village."

Ryker bowed, "It was our pleasure, Kazekage-sama."

As they turned to leave, the Kazekage spoke up, "Wait. Before you go, I have a proposition for you."

Ryker turned back to face the Kazekage, "What is it, lord Kazekage?" Ryker asked, trying to maintain a respectful tone.

The Kazekage looked at him with a serious expression. "I'm sorry to inform you that the item you were carrying is a highly sensitive political document. It's a treaty between our two villages that we have been negotiating for months."

Ryker felt a lump form in his throat. "I had no idea, Kazekage. I was only following orders."

The Kazekage nodded, "I understand, Ryker. But unfortunately, there are those who would go to great lengths to get their hands on this treaty. I'm afraid you and your team might have become targets."

Ryker felt a chill run down his spine. He knew what it was like to be a target. He had been hunted by rogue ninjas in the past, and the memory still haunted him.

"What can we do, Kazekage?" Kakashi asked, his voice calm and collected.

The Kazekage leaned back in his chair and stroked his beard. "I suggest you stay in Suna for a few days until we can ensure your safety. We will provide you with a safe house and guards to protect you."

Ryker and his team nodded in agreement. They knew the risks of carrying sensitive documents, and they didn't want to put anyone else in danger.

As they left the Kazekage's office, Ryker felt a sense of unease settle in his stomach. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something was going to go wrong.

"Sensei, what do we do now?" Kaida asked, breaking the silence.

Kakashi put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "We follow orders and wait until it's safe to leave. In the meantime, we can train and work on improving our skills."

Ryker nodded in agreement. Training was something he was familiar with. It was a way to distract himself from his thoughts and focus on becoming a better ninja.

As they made their way to the safe house provided by the Sand Village, Ryker couldn't help but think about the conversation he had with Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki earlier. They had talked about their goals and aspirations, and Ryker realized that he wasn't sure what he wanted to achieve as a ninja.

"Sensei, can I ask you something?" Ryker said, breaking the silence.

Kakashi looked at him with his one visible eye, "Of course, Ryker. What's on your mind?"

Ryker took a deep breath, "I was talking to some fellow ninjas earlier, and they were talking about their goals and what they want to achieve as a ninja. And I realized that I'm not sure what I want to achieve."

Kakashi nodded, "It's okay, Ryker. Figuring out your goals and aspirations takes time. It's not something that can be rushed."

Ryker looked at him with a furrowed brow, "But sensei, how do I figure it out? How do I know what I want to achieve?"

Kakashi gave a small smile, "Well, Ryker, there's no one way to figure it out. But one thing you can do is think about what drives you. What motivates you to become a ninja?"

Ryker thought about it for a moment, "I want to protect my village and my loved ones. I want to make sure they're safe."

Kakashi nodded, "That's a good start, Ryker. Protecting others is an honorable goal. But you also have to think about what you want for yourself. What do you want to achieve as a ninja?"
