Chapter 12 - training

The training grounds were alive with the sound of laughter and the clashing of jutsus as Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, and Ryker gathered for a day of intense training. The sun was high in the sky, casting a warm glow over the lush greenery that surrounded them. The air crackled with anticipation as they prepared to push their limits and deepen their bonds.

Ryker stood at the center of the training grounds, a sense of focus emanating from him. His eyes were sharp, mirroring his determination to become stronger. Mitsuki, intrigued by Ryker's progress, approached him with a glimmer of excitement in his gaze.

"Ryker, shall we have a friendly spar?" Mitsuki proposed, a sly smile playing on his lips. "I'm curious to see how your training with Kakashi-sensei has elevated your skills."

Ryker's face lit up with excitement, accepting the challenge. "I would be honored, Mitsuki. Let's see how far we've come."

As the two shinobi prepared themselves, Boruto, Sarada, and the other onlookers formed a circle, eager to witness the clash between their comrades. The atmosphere grew tense, filled with anticipation as the spar was about to commence.

Mitsuki swiftly summoned his snakes, their slithering bodies coiling around him like a protective barrier. With a swift motion, the snakes lunged towards Ryker, their venomous fangs poised to strike. But Ryker's reflexes were honed, and he gracefully dodged the attack, his movements fluid and precise.

Taking advantage of the moment, Ryker channeled his chakra into his palms, calling forth his Wood Style. Thick branches burst forth from the ground, aiming to ensnare Mitsuki. However, Mitsuki's agility allowed him to swiftly evade the wooden restraints, his body moving like a shadow.

Ryker's eyes narrowed, determination burning within him. He wasn't going to let Mitsuki's speed overcome him. Drawing upon his training, he focused his chakra and unleashed a barrage of shurikens, aiming to catch Mitsuki off guard. Mitsuki weaved through the projectiles effortlessly, his movements fluid and precise.

The spar intensified, each shinobi showcasing their unique skills and strategies. Mitsuki displayed his flexibility, weaving seamlessly between attacks, while Ryker's Wood Style proved to be a formidable force, its versatility surprising even himself. The onlookers were captivated by the spectacle, their eyes fixed on the fierce exchange of blows.

With a burst of determination, Ryker seized the opportunity. As Mitsuki momentarily paused to gather his breath, Ryker used his Wood Style to swiftly ensnare him. The branches coiled tightly around Mitsuki's body, immobilizing him. Before Mitsuki could react, Ryker propelled himself into the air, delivering a powerful flying knee strike to Mitsuki's face, sending him flying backward.

The training grounds fell silent for a moment as Mitsuki hit the ground, stunned by Ryker's display of strength. The silence was broken by a chorus of cheers and applause from Boruto, Sarada, and the others. They were genuinely impressed by Ryker's growth and the outcome of the spar.

Mitsuki, rising to his feet, wore a satisfied smile on his face. "Well done, Ryker. You've truly honed your skills. It seems my curiosity was well placed."

Ryker bowed respectfully, his breath slightly labored from the intensity of the spar. "Thank you, Mitsuki. Your skills pushed me to my limits. I couldn't have asked for a better opponent."

As the spar came to an end, the group decided to take a well-deserved break. They sat under the shade of a large tree, basking in the camaraderie and the shared satisfaction of their training session. Ryker, Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki engaged in lively conversation, sharing stories, dreams, and aspirations.

Boruto, always the mischievous one, couldn't resist teasing Ryker. "Well, Ryker, you certainly showed us what you're made of. I hope you're ready to face the full force of our team's determination in our next training session!"

Ryker chuckled, accepting the challenge with a glint of excitement in his eyes. "Bring it on, Boruto. I'm ready to test my skills against the best."
