Still confused about what happened that mid-noon, Cesarean prowled through the corridor, his mind absent from his body, and his eyes not thoroughly fixed on his path, obfuscated by the thoughts in his head.
Why did he have to act rash and harsh to her, as though they were previously having some kind of feud or something. They had no argument, or did they?
No matter how he thought about it, he still couldn't back a valid reason why he was so indifferent with her as if they were mere strangers coming in contact for the first time.
'Did I hurt her?' His brows met, something familiar to worry blurred his gaze but then got swept away as fast it came. 'Why should I be worried about that?' Besides, that was the last thing on her mind, right? Her topmost priority was finding her lost lover.
