"Are you alright? You look pale." Aldric suddenly blurted out.
"I'm..fine." She assured him with a stiff tone. Her lips twitched as she looked away, directing her eyes to the clothes.
It was silent for a moment as she pretended to go through the clothes, but she could feel his unwavering eyes firmly on her, it bored through the back of her skull.
The tension between them lingered near, even as they tried to hide the whirlwind of temptation pulling them closer with each heartbeat and oddly, even without saying or doing anything, it felt even more difficult to concentrate.
It was simply impossible to blur out his presence from her mind, he was a man whose presence couldn't fade away from one's memory no matter how hard one tried.
