Rama stared at the wall blankly for what felt like an eternity, as she ignored the unendurable hunger pricking her intestines and gnawing at her stomach.
She heard Malika groan softly as she awakened from her slumber, tilting her head straight, she sat forward as she realized she had slept on her shoulder and a small gasp echoed from her lips.
"I'm sorry your highness," Malika said with a strained voice, although she had slept, her eyes were still heavy with tiredness and hunger.
"Don't call me that Malika. It only makes my rage fuel more, but now I have no strength to be angry." Rama said between gritted teeth but her jade eyes were dull, the glow in them had faded to be replaced with despair and sorrow.
"It's alright for you to be angry, you have every right to be. The vampire king took everything away from you, so be angry if you must." Malika remarked.
