"Why haven't I heard of them before?" I ask.
" The 6 families have been trying to erase that war from history. It was the only time that they almost lost all of their power." NoTe says
"Wait, stop." I say.
"Why? I thought you wanted to hear this." NoTe says.
"When we switch who has control over our body our physical stats don't change right? Just mana techniques, truth, cardinal sins, and physical appearance." I say.
"Yeah that's pretty much it." NoTe says.
"Okay then so why have you been allowing Rezakov and Joker to manhandle you? You're out there making us look weak!" I say angrily.
"I didn't think you wanted me to kill them." NoTe says.
" I never said kill them. I just said don't lose. Me and Losing don't coexist." I say.
"Looks like you're starting to show more of yourself." NoTe says.
***Reznakov
" So what should we do now?" I ask.
" Lets just knock NoTe out and then leave." Joker says.
" Well that'll be hard to do since we know that the Kendrath family is here now." Rev says.
" It looked like he brought half his army with him." Kendra says.
I was about to speak up until NoTe appeared in the middle of all of us. He looks soaked in blood. We all jumped back to get away from him.
" What the hell, I know I set yamato after him. No way he could've killed him that fast." I say. NoTe has a horrifying smile on his face and aims his blade at Rev.
He tries attacking Rev but he's blocked by Rev's orbs. They finally started protecting him on their own.
***Travis Kendrath
"Bring me the prisoner." I say to the soldier.
"We've brought him sir." A soldier says.
" There's a laboratory on that island. Bring me the kid with red hair. If you do, then I'll allow you to live free, little brother." I say.
" Take off my restraints." Kol Kendrath says.
***Rev
NoTe is moving entirely differently from earlier. He doesn't hesitate and his blows have a lot more power in them. That isn't the problem though. The problem is that he's keeping all of us at bay.
This dance that he is doing is allowing him to attack all of us at once. Joker tries punching but he dodges and does a roundhouse kick. Joker goes flying into a wall. Reznakov tries tying him up with his chain but NoTe just overpowers him and slams him into the ground.
Kendra goes on the offensive but I stop her and say. " Wait, I feel an unknown presence and he's strong. Let's retreat for now. Reznakov and Joker will be fine."
"Are you sure? They look like they're losing." Kendra worries.
" Neither of them have gotten serious yet. Plus Reznakov works better in open spaces. Us being here just limits him." I say.
"Okay let's go." Kendra says. Me and her take off hoping to intercept the new person who just entered the laboratory.
NoTe tries chasing us but Reznakov catches him with his chain.
***Reznakov
" Sorry but I can't let you chase the two lovebirds." I say.
Joker gets up from out the rubble and says. " Reznakov you should move, I'm about to activate my truth and you don't want to be in the radius."
It's been a long time since I've seen someone use their truth. I wonder what kind Joker has.
NoTe jumps backwards; he probably senses that immense mana build up. A black table appears in the middle of us. I try moving away from it but I just get sucked in. I can't get out of the seat that it put me in.
" You should've left when I warned you. I can't deactivate this until the game is over with." Joker says.
Damn this is the most annoying type of truth. The one that forces everyone to abide by its rules.
"What does your truth do?" I ask.
" We have a game of poker where the people who lose are incapacitated for 4 hours." Joker says.
" Ah well I apologize then Joker since you'll be the one getting incapacitated. I happen to be very good at poker." I say.
" The house always wins." Joker says.
***Baek
"So when did Beezlebub attack my parents?" I ask.
"Well the way your mom told me-" I cut NoTe off before he says anything else.
"What do you mean "My mom told you" I ask.
"Your mother had the same evolutionary traits as you. At that time I was more spirit than human. So your mom evolved herself to be able to see spirits. That's how she taught me her white rose blade dance. " NoTe says.
"She taught me a lot and told me about your father as well. Shaka was stronger than Reznakov was in his prime. He carried 2 meat cleavers as weapons. Out of all the african war chiefs he was the strongest. If he wouldn't have been killed then he would've made the 7th family. " NoTe says.
"Tell me about the fight between Beezlebub and my parents. I want to know the entire story." I say.
"Okay well it happened at the end of the War of Conquerors. Your mother was 3 months pregnant. So they had decided to go visit the leader of the Yuki family."
***End of the War of Conquerors Shaka POV.
" Come on Shaka we can't be late to go see Silk." Kara says in a hurry.
" Isn't her territory super far though. Plus I thought we were meeting up with Wukong first?" I ask.
" I want him to find out as a surprise so I told him to wait. Out of all the families, the Yuki family was the only one who didn't reject our tribe." Kara says.
"Not everyone in our tribe accepts you. Should I get rid of them?' I ask.
" NO! Don't do that. I don't care about them. I have our friends and you and our future child." Kara says.
"Okay okay I understand. However, you should probably tell Silk that we'll be late. We have company." I say
